The Gainesville varsity academic team took first place in a tournament hosted Oct. 18 by Norwood. Gainesville defeated Hartville 200-70 and Norwood 260-20. Gainesville’s junior varsity topped the Hartville JV in two games, with scores of 190-120 and 150-30.
