Bakersfield man charged with abuse of a child

A warrant without bond has been issued for Bakersfield resident Allen Luebbert in connection with a case filed last week in which he is charged with domestic assault and abuse of a child.

According to the probable cause statement prepared by Ozark County Sheriff’s Deputy Stephen Ator, Luebbert kicked and hit a 14-year-old child with his fists while in an intoxicated state Nov. 10.

The report says the defendant arrived home drunk and entered the child’s room where the child was asleep on the floor.

“In an attempt to wake [the child] up, he kicked the victim in the stomach,” the report says.

Luebbert’s girlfriend then came into the room and began being verbally abusive to the child, the report says.

“The victim, fearing a physical attack, grabbed the hands of Luebbert’s girlfriend to hold her off,” the report says. “Luebbert came over to [the child] and hit her with his fists and kneed her on the left side of the torso,” the report says.
