Two sent to prison, four continued on probation during July 20 Law Day
Circuit Judge Craig Carter processed a total of 25 criminal cases during the July 20 session of Ozark County Law Day. Updates in the cases are listed here.
Plea and sentencing
Jessica G. Ross, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to three years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Summer Dawn Stephens, (see additional case below) pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance and was sentenced to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. As part of the plea agreement, additional charges of unlawful use of a weapon (possessing a weapon and a felony controlled substance at the same time) and resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony and delivery of a controlled substance were dropped.
Probation violator sent to prison
Summer Dawn Stephens, (see additional case, above) who pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of a controlled substance in December 2019, appeared for a probation violation due to a positive reading on a urinalysis for drugs in June. She admitted to violating her probation. She was sentenced to 4 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Jami Lynn Vance, who pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary in November 2017, appeared for a probation violation hearing after having a positive admission to using fentanyl in May. She was continued on probation.
Albert Stanford, who pleaded guilty to assault (operating a vehicle while intoxicated resulting in an injury in December 2017), appeared for a probation violation hearing. The judge ordered that Stanford be continued on probation with the condition that he makes a $3,695 payment prior to Aug. 3.
Samantha Rodak-Triboulet, who pleaded guilty to burglary and stealing ($750 or more), appeared for a probation violation hearing due to new charges being filed against her in Taney County. She was released with the condition that the Missouri Division of Probation and Parole supervise her during her release. The probation violation hearing was continued to 9 a.m. Sept. 7.
Charles J. Simpson, who pleaded guilty to domestic assault in February 2021, appeared for his probation violation hearing and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Cases continued to 9 a.m. Aug. 3
Dustin Hudspeth, charged with two counts of domestic assault, armed criminal action and abuse of an elderly person, was scheduled to appear for a pre-trial conference before his Aug. 29-30 pre-trial conference. Another hearing is scheduled.
Rhonda Sprague, charged with three counts of assault, three counts of armed criminal action, discharging a firearm at a person (persistent offender) and unlawful use of a weapon (possessing a loaded weapon while intoxicated), appeared for a hearing with her attorney. Her previously filed motion to amend her pretrial conditions for release was overruled and she remained in custody. She is scheduled to return for a hearing.
Timothy Kyle Sprague, charged with second-degree murder during execution/flight from execution of a felony a person dies, unlawful possession of a firearm, appears for a hearing with his attorney. The state has refiled Sprague’s other case, the docket explains. He is scheduled to return for a hearing.
Brian Dunaway, charged with charged with second-degree murder during execution/flight from execution of a felony a person dies, unlawful use of a firearm (possessing a weapon and a felony-level controlled substance at the same time), possession of a controlled substance, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child creating a substantial risk and two counts of armed criminal action, appeared with his attorney for a hearing. He is scheduled to return for a bond review hearing.
Dakota Maynard, charged with promoting child pornography to a minor and possession of child pornographic video, was released with supervision by Court Probationary Services with a GPS-monitor. He is scheduled to reappear for a plea hearing or trial setting.
Cases continued to 9 a.m. Sept. 7
Aaron K. Judd, charged with non-support of a child with total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under a child support order, appeared for a plea hearing or trial setting. A mental examination was scheduled for Monday. The hearing was continued.
Levi C. Hambelton, charged with domestic assault, appeared for a plea hearing or trial setting. It was continued.
Alyssa Brooke Collins, charged with domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon (exhibiting), was arraigned. A plea hearing or trial setting is scheduled to 9 a.m. Sept. 7.
Nicole Smith, charged with stealing and fraudulent use of a credit or debit card, was arraigned. A plea hearing or trial setting was scheduled.
Eric Vandiver, charged with delivery of a controlled substance, appeared for a plea hearing or trial setting with his attorney. He was released from custody where he was being held on a warrant and the cash portion of pre-trial release condition was removed. He is scheduled to reappear for the hearing.
Michelle Wilcox, charged with possession of a controlled substance, was arraigned. A plea hearing or trial setting is scheduled.
James Ruark, charged with delivery of a controlled substance and delivery or possession of a controlled substance at a county jail, was arraigned. He’s scheduled to return for a plea hearing or trial setting. His defense attorney filed a change of venue motion. The judge hasn’t ruled on it yet.

Michael Raczynski, who pleaded guilty to manufacturing a controlled substance in July 2020, appeared for a hearing.
