Dora faces Gainesville in semifinals

The Dora Falcons hope to avenge their recent loss in the championship game of the Cabool Holiday Tournament to intra-county rival Gainesville on Thursday when the two Ozark County teams square off in the semifinals of the Gainesville Tournament.
Both Gainesville and Dora advanced to the second round of the tournament with Gainesville blowing out Bakersfield and Dora advancing against Hartville
The Falcons beat the Eagles Monday night 66-53 to advance in the Gainesville Tournament, and also defeated Lutie last week, 86-46 in an intra-county matchup.
In the contest against Hartville, Dylan Fox led Dora with 13 points, followed by Jacob Pardo with 11. Also scoring for Dora were Jesse Morgan, Justin Vonallman, Coy Collins and Dillan Collins with 8 each.
In the win over Lutie, Dora's Jacob Pardo lit up the scoreboard with his 25 points, shooting 64 percent from the field. Jesse Morgan and Billy Sexton each had 11 points for the Falcons, followed by Dylan Fox, Dillan Collins and Justin Vonallman with 8 each.
Cody Dodge scored 17 for Lutie, followed by Dylan Burks with 9 and Gavin Jennings with 8. Dodge also grabbed 10 rebounds for the Indians.
Dora will face the Bulldogs at 6 p.m. Thursday in the semifinals of the Gainesville Tournament.
