Dora girls improve to 21-2

The Dora Lady Falcons' softball team continued their offensive charge toward postseason play with big wins over Mansfield, Koshkonong and Mountain View this past week.
The Lady Falcons have been virtually unstoppable all season, and have obliterated their opponents with scoring that is unheard of in high school softball. This past week was no exception as the Lady Falcons moved to 21-2 on the year to end the regular season, outscoring their three opponents 45-2.
The Lady Falcons put 17 runs on the scoreboard in their Friday contest with Mansfield, beating the Lady Lions 17-2. Makala Trail led the way for Dora with 4 hits, while Monica Kelley, Kelsi Land and Kaitlin Barnett each had 3 hits.
The day before, Dora won two in a double-header with Koshkonong and Mountain View.
In the Koshkonong game, the Lady Falcons again scored 17 runs and shut out the Lady Blue Jays 17-0. Four Lady Falcons — Monica Kelley, Jordan Smith, Makala Trail and Ashylnn Vanatter — each had 2 hits for Dora, which had 14 hits on the day.
