Falcons collect two more wins

The state-ranked Dora Falcons picked up two more wins this past week, beating Gainesville on Thursday and Norwood on Friday.

In the game with intra-county rival Gainesville, the Falcons answered a Bulldog one-run second inning with a two-run third inning. Both teams tacked on two more in the fifth, and Dora edged Gainesville 4-3. The Falcons had three hits on one error in the game.

On Friday, the Falcons got the bats cracking early against the Pirates, scoring five runs in the first to jump out to a 5-0 lead. The Falcons tacked on one run in the third, two more in the fourth and sour more in the fifth to 10-run the Norwood squad 12-2 in five innings.

Individual statistics were not provided by Dora coaches.

The Falcons are scheduled to travel to Koshkonong on Thursday and host Mountain Grove on Friday.
