FBLA Leadership Conference at SDC

Thirty-one Gainesville FBLA members attended the Missouri Show-Me Leadership Conference Saturday, Oct. 17, at Silver Dollar City. They were presented with a certificate recognizing the chapter as having the largest number of members registered for the conference. More than 400 FBLA members gathered to gain firsthand knowledge from professionals and leaders in the entertainment industry, enjoy pop-up workshops and test their skills at open testing.  Gainesville’s chapter president and Missouri FBLA parliamentarian Thomas Pointer assisted with conducting the business meeting and presenting workshops. Students enjoyed a beautiful fall day at SDC including rides, shows and food and left with a greater knowledge of both FBLA and SDC. Gainesville FBLA adviser Patsy Hambelton and math instructor Michelle Pointer accompanied the group. Students attending the conference were, front row, from left: Nick Woodward, Thomas Pointer, Allan McKinzie, Makayla Mansker, Martina Hershberger, Audrey Lovan, Lauren Suter, Allie Richey, Latifa Ben Awadh, Emily McKinzie, Legan Tiller, Rebekah Cummings, Natalie Kiger, Blakely Morrison and Hillary Souder.
