GHS DECA attends leadership training

Representatives from the Gainesville DECA Chapter on Sept. 9 attended the 2015 District 11 ROPES Leadership Conference in Republic. Members gained leadership skills through challenging and thrilling obstacles at the Leadership Ranch. They also met new people in District 11 and learned how to work and communicate better as a chapter and as a district. District vice-president candidates presented speeches to the attendees. The Gainesville DECA voting delegates, Hannah Lewis and Ethan Hannaford, cast the chapter’s vote. As a reward for their hard work and effort, the group enjoyed a meal at Red Robin befpre returning to the school. Pictured, from left, are Martina Hershberger, Hannah Lewis, Farrah Chambers, Katelyn Brantingham, Lindsie Garrison, Ethan Hannaford, Scout Jeckstadt, Liz Herd, Kirsten Watson and Megan Lane.
