Lady Bulldogs beat Seymour, Bakersfield

The Gainesville Lady Bulldogs softball team is riding high going into the district tournament Thursday after winning two recently over Bakersfield and Seymour.
The Lady Bulldogs rattled the bats against Bakersfield, beating the Lady Lions 14-4.
Madison Strong and Kiya Head had 2 singles each for Gainesville. Katelyn Brantingham had a single and a double and was the winning pitcher.
Abby Britt, Tali Rose, Kelsie Myers, Sara Jo Cunningham, and Sunni Amyx all had one single each.
Gainesville put up 13 runs against Seymour and they would need them as Seymour tacked on 11 of their own in the slugfest which Gainesville won 13-11.
Tali Rose had 2 doubles and 2 singles to lead Gainesville. Madison Britt had a triple and 2 singles.
Other Gainesville sluggers were Kiya Head, Kelsie Myers, Hali Wallace, and Katelyn Brantingham who each had a single. Brantingham was the winning pitcher.
Gainesville was shut out in a contest against Hartville, as the Lady Eagles blanked the Lady Bulldogs 10-0.
Madison Strong had a single and a double to lead Gainesville.
Gainesville is scheduled to play in the semifinals of the district tournament at 6:30 Thursday at Houston.
