Lady Bulldogs blow out Hartville

The Gainesville Lady Bulldogs secured a second place finish in the Summit Conference with a huge win over conference foe Hartville Monday night. Gainesville beat Hartville by 20 points, 62-42 behind some strong scoring from the freshmen squad.

Madison Strong had another stellar night, scoring 27 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs. Scout Jeckstadt had 15 points while Abby Britt scored 10.

The Lady Bulldogs also picked up a win against Mansfield on Jan. 17.

Mansfield jumped out to a 16-13 first-quarter lead, but Gainesville bounced back holding the Lions to single-digit quarters the rest of the way to collect the 56-31 win.

Freshman Madison Strong led all scorers with 26 points for Gainesville. Scout Jeckstadt netted 8 while Tali Rose chipped in 7.

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Koshkonong on Thursday and will host Dora on Jan. 28.

Gainesville is currently 9-8 and 4-1 in conference play.
