Lady Bulldogs now 6-1 after wins

The Gainesville Lady Bulldogs' softball team won four more, advancing to 6-1 on the year.
Gainesville beat Fordland, Norwood, Bakersfield and Conway this past week, scoring 52 runs in the process and holding opponents to only 10 runs.
Gainesville blanked Fordland 15-0. Katelyn Brantingham was the winning pitcher. Madison Strong led the offense with a triple, double and a single.
Against Norwood on Sept. 5, the Lady Bulldogs went into extra innings to get the win, outlasting the Lady Pirates, 6-5. Brantingham was again the winning pitcher. She also had four singles in the game.
On Sept. 6, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Bakersfield and hammered their intra-county rival Lady Lions, 18-2. Strong led the offense with three singles and Brantingham was winning pitcher.
On Monday, Gainesville beat Conway 13-3, led again by Strong and Brantingham. Brantingham had two strikeouts. Strong had a double, as did Abby Britt. Tali Rose, Hali Wallace and Sunni Amyx each had singles in the game.
Gainesville will travel to Koshkonong on Sept. 12.
