Bakersfield’s academic team took first place at the district Scholar Bowl held Saturday, April 14, at Koshkonong.The team will compete at sectionals in Joplin on April 24. Members of the team are, from left, Makenzie Lester, Hunter Bentley, Nathan Talley, Brevin Bales, Nathan Scott, Doug Tefft, Madison Farel and Ethan Crites (not pictured). Nathan Scott won first place, and Brevin Bales tied for sixth in individual scoring.
