Lutie fields T-ball team
For the first time in many years, kids who live in western Ozark County had the opportunity to play summer T-ball locally, thanks to Lutie School, team sponsor Century Bank of the Ozarks and Lutie teacher Carrie (Bushong) Laird, who organized and coached the Lutie T-Ball Tribe team. More than 20 3- to 6-year-olds learned the basics of the game and practiced hitting, throwing and catching. "I'm grateful to the community and school district for helping get the field ready," Laird said. "And I'm so proud of all the players who came out and worked hard learning their new skills." Team members were, from left (front row) Kaylie Bias, Kylie McCullough, Connie Goss, Avery Jones, Corbin Greenough, D.J. Howard, Logan Kellett, Jemma Ivie, Keith McCullough, Kolten Bauer, Angie Robles; (back row) Jaxon Greenough, Weston Henson, Malachi Scott, Ezra Yarger, Alyssa Jones Madalyn Kellett, Zoe Schmekel, Vidal Robles, Nova Laird, Levi Miller and Drake Miller.
