Parade director Linda Moore, affectionately known as the mayor of TMR campground, said as many as 60 golf carts have appeared in the parade when the Fourth of July holiday falls on a three-day weekend. Fields decorated with hay bales have created pretty scenery lately around the county, but this year’s crazy spring weather and dry conditions have resulted in a substantially smaller hay crop than in previous years. The shortage has livestock producers scrambling to find hay to buy for the coming winter.
