Lutie to face Verona in districts

The Lutie Indians head into the Class 1 District 4 tournament on Monday seeded seventh and will face third-seeded Verona at 7:30 p.m. The tournament is being held at Branson Middle School.
The Indians, after picking up a couple of wins the week before, dropped two last week to Mansfield and Koshkonong.
In the game against Mansfield on Feb. 14, the Lions bested the Indians 62-35.
Lutie jumped out to a 12-8 lead after one quarter, but only scored 1 point in the third and was routed by Mansfield.
Leading scorer for Lutie was Gavin Jennings with 17 points, followed by Cody Dodge with 11.
The next night, the Indians came out strong again on the road against Koshkonong. The Blue Jays led 15-14 after one quarter, but the Jays turned it on down the stretch, beating Lutie 70-45.
Leading scorer for Lutie was Gavin Jennings with 21 points, followed by Dylan Burks with 6 and Tyler Troi with 5.
The Indians will host Dora on Thursday in their last home game of the season.
