Lutie wins double-overtime thriller with buzzer-beater three

It doesn't get much more thrilling in high school basketball than Tuesday night's game with the Lutie Indians and the Cabool Bulldogs.
It was an old-fashioned barn-burner at Lutie gymnasium as the Indians and the Bulldogs went into double-overtime and the Indians won the game on a buzzer-beater three by standout Dylan Burks.
Fans should have known they were in for a great game when the two teams were tied up at 19-19 after one quarter, and the Indians led by only 1 at halftime.
The third quarter belonged to Cabool, as the Bulldogs outscored the Indians 19-12. But Lutie came roaring back in the fourth quarter, going on a 24-18 run to tie the game.
Fast-forward through two back-and-forth overtimes and both teams were knotted at 84 with seconds remaining.
That's when Dylan Burks stepped up and nailed a three as the buzzer sounded to unleash a barrage of cheers in the home gym. Burks finished the game with 14 points and only one trey - the game-winner.
Josh Daffron led the Lutie squad with 23 points, followed by Joe Terry with 17 and Thomas Ritter with 16.
The JV Indians also won against Cabool, 55-31.
