Dec. 11

8:05 a.m. – Caller said beagles are running through his property. Officer talked with reporting party on the phone. 

8:36 a.m. – Caller hit a deer with his 2012 Chevy Impala, causing front end and side damage. Caller said deer ran off. 

9:26 a.m. – Medical: Infant reportedly choking. Ozark County Ambulance and Tecumseh Volunteer Fire Department responded. Air Evac was dispatched but was canceled after baby was reported to be breathing normally and sucking on a pacifier.

10:24 a.m. – Taney County Sheriff’s Deputies say they are in pursuit of a black hatchback vehicle on Highway 125 close to Taney County line. At 10:35 a.m., the vehicle went back westbound. 

11:24 a.m. – Baxter County (Arkansas) reported that a rusty red pickup with camper shell was reportedly driving erratically on Highway 5 in Arkansas. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:37 a.m. – White River Valley Electric Co-op called and reported that some tree branches that are in contact with their lines are on fire. WRVEC called back and said to disregard.

1:20 p.m. – Prisoner transport to Greene County Jail: Sean King and Sharlene Deever. 

1:25 p.m. – Medical: 54-year-old female is unable to breathe. OCA and Lick Creek VFD responded. Patient was transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.

2:22 p.m. – Deceased person reported: 70-year-old male.

3:16 p.m.–A black Pontiac Firebird with a T-top and Arkansas plate has been left in the middle of the road on County Road 504. OCSD rendered assistance; Ron’s Recovery was dispatched.

3:56 p.m. – OCSD executed a search warrant on County Road 830; subject was arrested.

4:15 p.m. – Mutual aid with Eastern Douglas Fire Department requested for fire at Highways CC and 95 in Douglas County. Dora VFD dispatched.

6:54 p.m. – Caller on Highway 160 between Duke’s and the Tecumseh Bridge has hit a deer and is waiting at the location until someone can come and put down the deer. Assistance rendered. Caller took meat.

5:37 p.m. – Medical: 79-year-old female is having a possible heart attack. OCA and Timber Knob VFD responded. Patient was transported to OMC.

7:45 p.m. – Caller said an 80s-model cream-colored Mercedes was creeping along Highway 5 south about 2 miles north of the state line and then stopped on the roadside. Referred to MSHP.

8:51 p.m. – Caller said about six vehicles in Bakersfield are causing a disturbance, spinning tires and revving engines. OCSD responded; gone on arrival.

9:02 p.m. – Brush fire reported on Highway 181. Gainesville Fire Department responded but was canceled when reporting party called back and said fire had been extinguished.

9:20 p.m. – Caller on Highway 181 said someone had pulled a dirt bike out of their barn and set it on fire. OCSD responded; subject was arrested.

11:07 p.m. – Traffic stop on Highway 160 in front of 160 Pit Stop. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:26 p.m. – Reporting party said grandparents had called saying that their granddaughter and her boyfriend are fighting. They are in route to the home but also requested a deputy. OCSD officer met with reporting party.

11:59 p.m. – Caller reported a dead deer blocking roadway on Highway 160 near McClendon drive. Missouri Department of Transportation dispatched.

 

Dec. 12

7:33 a.m. – Caller reported a dead deer in the middle of Highway 101 south of Bakersfield. MoDOT dispatched.

10:39 a.m. – Medical: 80-year-old female with unspecified medical situation. OCA and Lick Creek VFD responded. Patient was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

1:04 p.m. – Medical: Elderly male is disoriented and weak; he has the flu. OCA and Caney Mountain VFD responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

3:08 p.m. – Stealing incident reported. OCSD rendered assistance.

3:16 p.m. – Caller said a woman in a jean jacket keeps coming into a local business, acting strange and claiming her brother has died. OCSD responded. Person was found on west side of Highway 5 south, lying in ditch. Subject was arrested. 

4:46 p.m. – Baxter County caller said a black cow is out on Arkansas Highway 201/Missouri Highway J near state line.

5:02 p.m. – Medical: elderly woman needs oxygen; she is having difficulty breathing. OCA and Caney Mountain VFD responded. OCA canceled as patient said she was feeling better on two cans of oxygen; she refused ambulance.

5:36 p.m. – Caller reported a careless and imprudent driver in silver compact sedan southbound on Highway 5 north. OCSD responded; unable to locate.

5:38 p.m. – Prisoner transport: Joshua Toscano. Met Douglas County officer at Douglas/Ozark county line.

6:05 p.m. – Medical: 25-year-old employee having seizure. OCA and Timber Knob VFD responded. Patient transported to BRMC.

7:24 p.m. – Medical: 89-year-old female is doing worse. OCA and Caney Mountain VFD responded. Air Evac also called. Patient was transported to BRMC.

8:51 p.m. – OCSD assisted MSHP in vehicle search on Highway 5 north. Subject was transported to OCSD.

9:20 p.m. – Caller said young boys are revving engines at Lick Creek Bullseye. Handled by OCSD officer.

10:30 p.m. – Caller reported a careless and imprudent driver in a loud truck on County Road 514. OCSD responded; unable to locate.

 

Dec. 13

5:38 a.m. – Lift assistance for 69-year-old female who has fallen. Dora VFD responded.

11:10 a.m. – Medical: 78-year-old female is sick and needs to go to hospital. Gainesville FD and OCA responded. 

12:50 p.m. – Medical: Unspecified call.

1:42 p.m. – Prisoner in Ozark County Jail is on suicide watch.

2:17 p.m. – Brush fire reported on Peaceful Place. Theodosia Area VFD responded.

3:27 p.m. – Large brush fire reported on County Road 932. Thornfield and Bradleyville VFDs responded along with dozers from Forest Service.

3:38 p.m. – Caller reported an assault. OCSD responded; parties were separated and 12-hour rule instated. 

6:27 p.m. – Shoplifting reported at Bullseye. OCSD took report.

8:34 p.m. – Caller said another person’s items have not been picked up in Wasola as planned; caller set them on porch. Wanted it on record.

 

Dec. 14

4:45 a.m. – Medical: 76-year-old female in respiratory distress. OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

8:42 a.m. – Medical: Man has fallen and can’t feel arm or leg. Gainesville Fire Department and OCA responded. Patient was transported to OMC.

8:49 a.m. – Female resident at local facility says she was raped. OCSD rendered assistance.

10:16 a.m. – Lift assistance needed for woman who has fallen in bathroom. Dora VFD responded.

10:40 a.m. – Prisoner transport: Julie Lazorchak.

4:29 p.m. – Medical: 50-year-old has fallen outside. OCA and Timber Knob VFD responded and set up landing zone.

7:32 p.m. – Medical: 56-year-old female possibly having stroke. OCA and Caulfield VFD responded. Patient was transported to OMC.

8:09 p.m. – Vehicle accident reported on County Road 503. Handled by OCSD officer.

10:17 p.m. – Medical: 85-year-old male is having chest pain. OCA, Bakers-field VFD and Air Evac dispatched.

 

Dec. 15

12:58 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle reported at house next to sheriff’s office. OCSD responded; checked OK.

2:56 a.m. – Caller said a pickup is blocking part of roadway on T Highway 2 miles east of Highway 5. OCSD rendered assistance. Ron’s Recovery dispatched.

10:25 a.m. – Caller has been feeding chickens and dogs that have no shelter or water. Handled by officer.

12:50 p.m. – Caller said a lady wearing a cowboy hat is trying to sell her silverware on the square in Gainesville. Handled by OCSD officer.

7:34 p.m. – Caller at laundry in Gainesville said her daughter took off with her 2003 gold-colored Ford Explorer. OCSD officer responded and tried to get the vehicle to pull over on Highway 5 north, but it crashed.  

 7:44 p.m. – Single-vehicle accident Highway 5 north near County Road 803. OCA,  Gainesville Fire Department and Air Evac dispatched. Patient was transported to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield.

8:49 p.m. – Subject arrested; prisoner transported.

8:57 p.m. – Stranded motorist in Gainesville. Handled by OCSD officer.

 

Dec. 16

4:30 a.m. – Medical: Male fell down, has low blood pressure and is dizzy. OCSD and ambulance responded. Patient transported to BRMC.

9:03 a.m. – Caller said a water heater has been stolen from a house. Reporting party is doing clean-up for JP Morgan Bank. Officer attempted to contact reporting party at both numbers given but got no answer.

10:13 a.m. – Caller reported a stolen silver, 100-gallon propane tank on O Highway. Wanted it on record. Officer spoke to reporting party on phone.

10:43 a.m. – Caller received a scam call from a man with a foreign accent offering government grant money. Wanted it on record.

11:21 a.m. – Medical: Man was run over by tractor off J Highway. Lick Creek VFD, OCA and Air Evac dispatch. Patient was transported by helicopter.

12:34 p.m. – Brush fire reported on Wilderness Lane. Pontiac VFD and Timber Knob VFD dispatched.

1:06 p.m. – Brush fire reported on Highway 95 north. Wasola VFD dispatched. 

2:06 p.m. – Careless and imprudent driver reportedly speeding down County Road 511. OCSD responded; unable to locate. 

6:01 p.m. – Unspecified suspicious incident reported on County Road 522. Handled by OCSD officer.

6:43 p.m. – Medical: 75-year-old at GHCC. OCA dispatched; patient was transported to BRMC.

7:50 p.m. – Unspecified disturbance reported on County Road 522. OCSD responded. Subject arrested.

8:32 p.m. – Caller said an assault has occurred. OCSD responded; checked OK.

11:05 p.m. – Medical: 72-year-old female has trouble breathing. OCA dispatched. Patient transported to BRMC.

 

Dec. 17

3:06 a.m. – Howell County 911 reported a fight in progress on County Road 597: three males against one male. OCSD rendered assistance; Howell County Sheriff’s Office mutual aid. Verbal disturbance. 

9:57 a.m. – Caller said someone had reported that a woman was sleeping in a storage unit. OCSD rendered assistance. Officer spoke with the female subject. Property owner said he wanted her items moved to another unit and that she was to be gone by dark.

12:47 p.m. – Reporting party said someone is at his mother’s house on County Road 830. Party called back and said it was his sister and to cancel deputy. 

2:05 p.m. – Vehicle stop at Highways 160 and MM. OCSD rendered assistance. 

4:34 p.m. – Medical: person at OCSD has teeth knocked out. OCA responded; patient transported to OMC.

4:50 p.m. – Assault reported in A-pod of Ozark County Jail. Report taken.

5:27 p.m. – Medical: 82-year-old female is having possible heart attack. Wasola VFD and OCA responded.

6:36 p.m. – Medical: 35-year-old male is having seizures. OCA responded.

7:08 p.m. – Caller on County Road 835 said a person is making threats to caller. OCSD responded. Parties were separated; 12-hour rule instated.

8:17 p.m. – Traffic stop on Highway 5 north. OCSD rendered assistance.

8:39 p.m. – Death notification in Gainesville. OCSD rendered assistance.

10:09 p.m. – Traffic stop at Highways 5 and 160. Handled by OCSD officer.

10:51 p.m. – Aid another agency in Theodosia. OCSD rendered assistance.

 

Dec. 18

12:52 a.m. – Caller on County Road 523 said a suspicious woman was at the house next door that is vacant. Then she sat in the ditch and now is walking toward Hardenville. Also, someone was walking around the caller’s property with a dog. OCSD responded; unable to locate.
