Feb. 12

3:50 p.m. – Reporting party said he was run off the roadway on Highway 160 by another vehicle 1 mile west of Hardenville. No injuries, no property damage and vehicle is not blocking roadway. Referred to MSHP.

5:54 p.m. – Medical: Patient transport needed from Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Gainesville Health Care Center. Ozark County Ambulance responded.

6:59 p.m. – Medical: 66-year-old male has chest pain. Dora VFD and South Howell Ambulance responded. 

7:24 p.m. – Vehicle stalled in roadway on Highway 160 west of Tecumseh Bridge. Tecumseh and Lick Creek VFDs responded. 

9:06 p.m. – Bakersfield VFD chief reported brush fire on Highway 101 north of County Road 574.

10:33 p.m. –  Vehicle stop on J Highway in front of Lick Creek VFD. OCSD.

11:30 p.m. – Subject arrested: Justin Willhite. 

11:54 p.m. – Semi-truck has broken down on Highway 5 north. OCSD rendered assistance.

 

Feb. 13 

6:21 a.m. – Medical: 89-year-old male is not responsive. Reporting party believes he had a mini stroke on the previous day but didn’t get to the hospital. OCA responded. Air ambulance canceled due to weather. Patient transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.

8:24 a.m. – Reporting party said graffitti has been painted with orange paint on county road. Wanted it on record. 

10:42 a.m.  and 10:48 a.m.– Medical: 44-year-old female, possible overdose. OCSD and OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC.

6:50 p.m. – Traffic issue on Theodosia Bridge handled by OCSD officer.

7:01 p.m. – Medical: 55-year-old male. Gaines-ville VFD and OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC.

11:10 p.m. – Brush fire reported on County Road 145. Brixey-Rockbridge VFD responded.

 

Feb 14

1:18 p.m. and 11:24 p.m. – Medical: female on County Road 132 has dog bites. OCSD, Wasola VFD and OCA responded.

2:44 p.m. – Stranded motorist: white wagon off the roadway on Highway 5 north by Red Angus Farm. OCSD rendered assistance.

4:28 p.m. – Brush fire  reported on Black Walnut Lane. Dora VFD responded. 

5:55 p.m. – Medical: 77-year-old male has chest pain. Theodosia Area VFD and OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC.

6:30 p.m. – Medical: 60-year-old female is breathing but unresponsive. Bakersfield VFD and South Howell Ambulance responded. 

 

Feb. 15

12:54 a.m. – Reporting party says a male pulled into their driveway on Sparky Lane making threats and shooting a gun outside, driving down the driveway at excessive speeds. OCSD officer spoke with both parties and left statement form with reporting party to fill out and bring into OCSD office.

9:13 a.m. – MSHP notified OCSD of stranded semi-truck loaded with hay that had its load shift. It is in middle of road west of PP Highway. OCSD and Tecumseh VFD responded. Tecumseh VFD had vehicle off the roadway at 9:22 a.m. 

9:46 a.m. – Medical: 75-year-old female, unspecified issues. OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC. OCA then reported mechanical failure and will be out of service until further notice.

10:49 a.m. – Caller reported that a Radisson 14-foot canoe with flat back for motor has been stolen from a site on County Road 364.

11:20 a.m. – Caller on Zach Mountain reported that an individual has pigs that came onto her property, and her dogs chased them. Also, a neighbor has a German shepherd dog that attacked her dogs is tied to a wagon. 

11:28 a.m. – Caller reported a male black-and-white border collie found on County Road 547. 

11:50 p.m. – Caller wants a person removed from his residence on County Road 513. OCSD rendered assistance.

12:32 p.m. – Brush fire reported on County Road 628A. Pontiac VFD responded. 

12:58 p.m. – Brush fire reported on County Road 333. Brixey-Rockbridge VFD responded. No fire but lots of smoke. 

1:03 p.m. – Grass fire reported on CC Highway. Dora VFD responded.

1:07 p.m. – Taney County requests mutual aid fire response at Highway 125 and Rozell Road. Theodosia Area VFD dispatched. At 2:34 p.m., Taney County requested tanker and truck. At 2:42 Taney County said it will get someone else to go.

1:14 p.m. – Several calls about smoke on Highway 5 near Oak Grove Church. Wasola VFD responded. No fire found.

1:32 p.m. – Caller on County Road 123 said cow was attacked by dogs. Officer spoke with caller on phone. 

2:52 p.m. – Bakersfield VFD chief requests mutual aid tanker for fire near Caulfield VFD. Tecumseh VFD responded.

3:03 p.m. – Responding to brush fire, Thornfield VFD said it had to cut lock to gain entry.

5:13 p.m. – Traffic stop at Romance. Handled by OCSD officer. 

5:14 p.m. – Brush fire on CC Highway east in Blue Spring area. OCSD rendered assistance.

6:28 p.m. – Two vehicles are blocking County Road 817; reporting party said both drivers are intoxicated. MSHP rendered assistance.

6:53 p.m. – Caller would like a person removed from his house on County Road 502. Handled by OCSD officer.

11:00 p.m. – Warrant arrest in Bakersfield.

11:51 p.m. – Suspicious incident reported on County Road 806. OCSD officer responded; checked OK.

 

Feb. 16

6:34 a.m. – White horse on Highway 95 south by Vlad Lane. OCSD could not find animal owner’s number. 

7:40 a.m. – A ground wire is reportedly lying across road where Haskins Ford Road meets D Highway. White River Valley Electric Co-op was contacted.

9:09 a.m. – Dogs are chasing cattle at site on T Highway. One cow is dead, and two are crippled. Wanted it on record.

12:35 p.m. – Suspicious incident reported at Gainesville High School. Handled by OCSD officer.

2:32 p.m. – Prisoner transport: Nathan Poland, Taney County.

7:12 p.m. – Caller said neighbors are shooing BBs at her house behind Theodosia Pharmacy. Handled by OCSD officer.

11:23 p.m. – Traffic stop near Lick Creek VFD firehouse on J Highway. Citation issued.

11:39 p.m. – Caller on Big Oak Lane reported  skunk that is acting strangely. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:52 p.m. – Traffic stop at J Highway and County Road 539A. OCSD rendered assistance. 

 

Feb. 17

12:20 a.m. – Security alarm activated at Dollar General. OCSD responded; checked OK. 

12:44 a.m. – Subject arrested after traffic stop near cemetery at J Highway and County Road 511. MSHP en route for alcohol check. Duke’s Towing requested.

8:32 a.m. – Cow is out at Highway 160 and Rail Hollow. OCSD rendered assistance; no answer from possible animal owner.

9:11 a.m. – Caller reported items missing from sister’s residence at Harlin Heights after her death. OCSD officer contacted family members who said they had been instructed to take items from the residence. Sister was unaware of this so when she arrived it appeared apartment had been burglarized, but that was not the case.

3:15 p.m. – Reporting party lost a hand gun on County Road 178. OCSD took report. Item was entered into MULES. 

5:44 p.m. – Caller said a green, 13-foot aluminum canoe had been taken from his property. OCSD took report. Item was entered into MULES. 

 5:47 p.m. – Reporting party said she had received a threatening phone call. She filled out a statement about the call and wants it on record.

9:48 p.m. – Caller said a guy is walking around with a flashlight on Highway 5 south. OCSD responded; gone on arrival.

 

Feb. 18

9:01 a.m. – Medical: 74-year-old male with diabetes is shaking and confused. OCA responded. Patient was transported to OMC.

10:22 a.m. – Medical: 70-year-old male’s life alert button has been activated, unknown circumstances. Ava ambulance responded; canceled at 10:43 a.m.

10:36 a.m. – Caller said a white, four-door car is parked in the handicap spot at J-Mart Bullseye. Another subject called and said he was parked in an unmarked area speaking to a store employee, and the original reporting party acted intoxicated or under the influence.

11:48 a.m. – Reporting party said a 3-year-old male has wandered off from site on Hankins Hideaway. Child was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans, red-and-black shoes, maybe accompanied by a black Lab puppy. OCSD, Ozark County Search & Rescue and Caney Mountain VFD were dispatched. Reporting party called back at 11:54 a.m. to say child had been found, safe.

1:15 p.m. – Medical: 80-year-old male has suffered head injury and has back and should pain after four-wheeler accident. OCA, Caulfield VFRD and Air Evac dispatched.

3:00 p.m. – Careless and imprudent driver in white semi with flatbed was reported  on Highway 160 eastbound from Highway 5 south. Referred to MSHP.

3:37 p.m. – Vehicle accident on County Road 310: Jeep hit a rock and flipped. No injuries, but vehicle is blocking middle of the road. Caney Mountain VFD, OCSD and MSHP responded. 

3:47 p.m. – Warrant arrest at J-Mart Bullseye: John McCullough. 

7:24 p.m. – Reporting party requested well-being / security check on Highway 160. OCSD responded. Checked OK. Kids don’t want to talk to reporting party.

 

Feb. 19

7:29 a.m. – Medical: 56-year-old male is lethargic, conscious but not very responsive. OCA and Timber Knob VFD responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

7:55 a.m. – Caller said someone broke into his house last night on East Tower Drive. OCSD rendered assistance.
