Jan. 22 (continued from last week’s Times)

8:17 a.m. – Medical: 82-year-old male is having possible stroke. Wasola VFD, Ozark County Ambulance and Air Evac dispatched. Air Evac was canceled. Patient was transported to BRMC. 

9:02 a.m. – Medical: Mutual aid requested for Douglas County ambulance. Brixey-Rockbridge VFD responded. 

9:27 a.m. – Bakersfield city signs and fence reportedly damaged overnight. OCSD rendered assistance.  

10:21 a.m. – ADT garage door alarm activated on Hillcrest Drive. OCSD responded; checked OK.

11:47 a.m. – Medical: 87-year-old male has tightness in chest. Wasola VFD, OCA and Air Evac were dispatched; patient was transported to BRMC. 

1:36 p.m. – Subject lost a black wallet with zipper in Dollar General parking lot. Wanted it on record in case it’s found.

1:42 p.m. – Medical: 66-year-old male has chest pains. Dora VFD and South Howell Ambulance responded. 

8:20 p.m. – Caller said he gave money to a male and female subject to rent a storage building, clean out his shed and haul his belongings to the storage building, and the subjects have now told him it will cost more money for him to get his belongs back from them. OCSD rendered assistance. 

8:23 p.m. – Vehicle stop at Tecumseh gas station: verbal warning for having no MV plate. 

9:11 p.m. – Vehicle stop Highway 160 and County Road 513. Verbal warning for speeding.

11:27 p.m. – Power line reported down on County Road 873.

 

Jan. 23

12:34 a.m. – Traffic stop on Highway 5 north of 160: warning issued.

6:35 a.m. – Caller said someone had gone through her mail and opened letters. Unsure of any mail that might be missing. Officer called the reporting party but got no answer.

12:07 p.m. – Caller is missing a Spanish-made revolver that resembles a Smith & Wesson. The only identifying marks on the pistol are “Made in Spain 3409 38 Long Colt.” Caller says weapon was taken sometime around Dec. 20, 2017. OCSD rendered assistance.

12:24 p.m. – Repo company advised it is repossessing a 2010 silver Dodge Avenger on Old Highway 160. 

12:29 p.m. – Caller reported a missing cooler at Deb & Lou’s Cafe. Handled by OCSD officer.

12:45 p.m. – Medical: 82-year-old female has been vomiting all day. Theodosia Area VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

2:48 p.m. – Medical: 82-year-old female fell from standing. Theodosia Area VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported by private vehicle to Cox-Branson.

6:52 p.m. – Vehicle stop at Highways 160 and J: Nissan Sentra has no tags. 

8:50 p.m. – Well-being/security check requested on County Road 362. OCSD rendered assistance. 

11:00 p.m. – Structure fire on Shady Oaks Circle in Gainesville. Gainesville, Lick Creek, Caney Moun-tain, Timber Knob VFDs responded. Fire marshal was called 1-24-18 at 1:02 p.m.

 

Jan. 24

11:28 a.m. – Caller said sheriff’s department had been checking on cattle at a site and caller thinks they should have been checking on people instead. Caller said one subject at the location had pulled a knife on him before, and now he won’t answer the phone. OCSD responded; checked OK.  

3:22 p.m. _ Medical: 80-year-old male has pulmonary embolism. Theo-dosia Area VFD and OCA responded.   

3:50 p.m. – Theft reported on Highway 181. Entered into MULES.

4:26 p.m. – Man is reportedly living in a blue Buick at Bullseye. OCSD officer spoke with all parties involved.

5:26 p.m. – Caller said a subject pushed her down, and she wants to press charges. OCSD offered assistance; officer left statements.

6:43 p.m. – Caller said a vehicle backed into his vehicle at Ranch House Restaurant and then left the scene. OCSD officer spoke with involved parties and notified Marion County, Arkansas, authorities.

6:50 p.m. – Security alarm activated at Country Tire. MSHP responded; checked OK. 

7:41 p.m. – Medical: 38-year-old male is having seizures. Wasola VFD and OCA responded.

9:57 p.m. – Medical: 30-year-old female has infected abscess. Timber Knob VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

 

 

Jan. 25

5:07 a.m. – Medical: 48-year-old female has possible broken ribs and concussion. OCA and Dora VFD responded. Patient was transported to BRMC. 

8:25 a.m. – Caller can hear voices in outbuilding on Ory Lane. OCSD rendered assistance.

9:32 a.m. – Electric or telephone line was reported down on County Road 803. White River Valley Electric Company said it looks like the electrical line was hit by county workers. WRVEC will fix line; county was notified.

9:54 a.m. – Medical: 83-year-old male has COPD. Caney Mountain VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

10:04 a.m. – Suspicious incident reported; handled by officer.

11:20 a.m. – Caller tried to find car in her garage last night and didn’t find it; she found it this morning and it had hit an old house on the property at Tecumseh. Wanted on record for insurance. 

12:12 p.m. – Two horses reported out on road near First Christian Church on Highway 160. Subject is putting horses in pen next to house to keep them off the road. OCSD rendered assistance; no owner found at this time.

12:32 p.m. – Caller said he has a boat trailer on his place on County Road 515 that was given to him after hauling some cedar on it. 

12:40 p.m. – Medical: 73-year-old female has COPD. Caney Mountain and OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

1:23 p.m. – Grass fire reported on AR Highway near state line in Bakersfield area. Bakersfield and Tecumseh VFDs responded. 

1:45 p.m. – Medical: 58-year-old has low heart rate, high blood pressure. South Howell ambulance responded. 

3:33 p.m. – Suspicious bag reported at Gainesville School. OCSD took report.

3:50 p.m. – Call came in regarding sex offender. OCSD officer spoke with the subject’s mom, who said he is living in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

4:17 p.m. – Medical: 78-year-old female is dizzy and not feeling well. OCA responded; patient was transported to BRMC.

5:43 p.m. – Caller said he had to put down dogs that were chasing his sheep on OO Highway. Caller intended to contact dog owner to request payment for sheep. At this time, he wanted it on record.

6:50 p.m. – Caller would like a subject removed from residence. OCSD responded; subject arrested.

6:59 p.m. – Caller reported finding a burnt shotgun barrel with no serial numbers on East Tower Drive. OCSD rendered assistance.

8:52 p.m. – Traffic stop on Highway 160. OCSD rendered assistance.

9:21 p.m. – Medical: Vehicle accident on Highway 160 east of Duke’s Towing, unknown injuries. Tecumseh VFD and OCA responded; OCA was canceled.

10:36 p.m. – Walk-in subject said dogs are in front of her storage unit, and she is unable to get to the unit. OCSD rendered assistance.  

 

Jan. 26

5:34 a.m. – Fire drill with Gainesville Fire at Gainesville Health Care Center. 

6:46 a.m. – Medical: 74-year-old male at Gainesville Health Care Center has hypertension, lethargy and congestive heart failure and needs transport to hospital. OCA responded; patient transported to BRMC.

8:44 a.m. – Medical: 59-year-old female fell and has gash on her head. OCA and Gainesville Fire responded.  

10:02 a.m. – Two round bales reported in roadway at Highways O and V. OCSD contacted Bakersfield VFD chief, who will find a farmer with a bale spike. MoDOT in West Plains is also sending a truck. At 10:11 a.m. Bakersfield VFD had road open but some hay was still in the road.

10:28 a.m. – Medical: 65-year-old male feels sick. OCA,  Thornfield VFD and Air Evac responded; Air Evac was canceled.

4:44 p.m. – Caller wanted it on record that someone has shot a hole through his shop building in Dora. 

5:34 p.m. – Caller said a subject will not let her have her children. Needed this on record.

5:46 p.m. – Medical: female is in diabetic shock. OCA and Caney Mountain VFD responded. 

6:58 p.m. – Warrant arrest on W Highway.

7:47 p.m. – Warrant arrest on J Highway 

7:50 p.m. – Caller is concerned about a dog that has been tied up for days at a location on J Highway. OCSD responded; unable to locate.

8:15 p.m. – Warrant arrest at Ava Police Department.

9:15 p.m. – Caller said a subject hit her and busted her lip. The person is intoxicated and left the location walking with their son. 

10:58 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. – Single-vehicle rollover accident reported on Highway 160 1 mile west of Locust Road. MSHP and OCSD rendered assistance.

 

Jan. 27

12:03 a.m. – Traffic stop on Highway 160 near Gainesville sale barn. OCSD rendered assistance.

12:27 a.m. – Caller in Dora area reported an older Toyota driving through a gated neighborhood. OCSD responded; unable to locate.

3:24 a.m. – Medical: 65-year-old female has high heart rate, chest pressure and trouble breathing. OCA responded; patient was transported to OMC. 

9:07 a.m. – Prisoner transport (Todd Kinworthy), Clay County, Arkansas.

10:33 a.m. – Medical: 87-year-old female is vomiting and weak. OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC.

11:11 a.m. – Medical: 55-year-old male who had recent heart pump implanted is experiencing bleeding. South Howell Ambulance responded; patient transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. 

1:35 p.m. – Brush fire reported on County Road 334. Caney Mountain and Dora VFDs responded. 

2:30 p.m. – Caller said he has asked roommate to move out, and roommate has threatened caller with physical harm. Wanted it on record.

3:30 p.m. – Brush fire reported on County Road 581. Bakersfield VFD responded; controlled burn. 

3:50 p.m. – Medical: female has fallen inside store and has possible broken arm. OCA responded; patient transported to BRMC. 

10:33 p.m. – Warning issued related to towed vehicles on Highway 160.

 

Jan. 28

12:31 a.m. – Traffic stop in Gainesville. Warning issued.

12:40 a.m. – Motion alarm activated in shop on Highway 160. OCSD responded; checked OK.

12:54 a.m. – Traffic stop: vehicle with no plates near dentist office. 

1:20 a.m. – Traffic stop: no plates on red Ford Taurus west of Dollar General store.

3:44 a.m. – Medical: 30-year-old female feels dizzy. OCA responded; patient transported to BRMC. 

10:29 a.m. – Careless and imprudent driver reported on Highway 5 at Highway 160. Caller said an older woman in a black Mustang convertible is speeding, making bad passes and unable to maintain lanes. Referred to MSHP.  

12:14 p.m. – Caller said he is missing a black Angus bull on County Road 593. Wanted it on record in case animal is found.

1:18 p.m. – Brush fire reported on County Road 915. Thornfield VFD dispatched.

3:01 p.m. – Sheep reported in roadway on P Highway. OCSD contacted animal owner.

4:24 p.m. – Medical: 15-year-old female fell and hit her head after being  punched by her sister; she is now experiencing dizziness and her eyes are hurting. Theodosia Area VFD and OCA responded; patient was transported to BRMC. 

6:02 p.m. – Caller said a male subject who is living with her brother continually calls her with harassing phone calls. OCSD officer spoke with both parties.

 

Jan. 29

3:44 a.m. – Medical: 84-year-old female has fallen. OCA responded. Patient transported to OMC.
