Jan. 8

4:47 a.m. – Vehicle slid off Highway 181 near the school and is partway in the road. OCSD rendered assistance; Ron’s Recovery dispatched.

5:32 a.m. – Medical: 81-year-old male with COPD is having trouble breathing and heart pain. Ozark County Ambulance responded; patient was transported to area hospital.

6:16 a.m. – Medical: an older male is on the ground, barely breathing. Ava Ambulance responded. 

6:58 a.m. – Caller said a 16-year-old female ran away between 9 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. OCSD took report. 

7:19 a.m. – Howell County 911 reported that two vehicles slid on the ice between Highways KK and H. Eastern District called and said the road was closed last night. One of the vehicles is a blue-green Toyota Rav 4.

7:56 a.m. – Prisoner transport: Jesse Anderson to Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center.

5:24 p.m. – Vehicle stop on High School Drive. OCSD issued verbal warning for failure to maintain lanes.

5:51 p.m. – Caller requested a well-being check on a subject who has made possible suicidal statements. OCSD responded.

7:49 p.m. – Security alarm activated on Highway 160. OCSD responded. Checked OK.

9:38 p.m. – Vehicle stop on Highway 160 at Hardenville Store. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:06 p.m. – Caller hit deer on Highway 160 near Dollar General causing damage to vehicle’s mirror, door and fender. OCSD rendered assistance.

 

Jan. 9

12:05 a.m. – Medical: 91-year-old female has congestive heart failure. OCA responded; patient transported to Baxter Regional Hospital in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

4:14 a.m. – Medical: 27-year-old female, nine months pregnant, needs assistance. OCSD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.

5:13 a.m. – Caller reported a dead deer in middle of highway 1/4 mile before Cloud 9. OCSD rendered assistance.

6:38 a.m. – Caller said a bobcat was hit on D Highway but doesn’t appear to be dead. OCSD rendered assistance.

8:10 a.m. – Medical: 75-year-old male having cancer treatments needs assistance. OCA and Bakersfield VFD responded. Patient was transported to OMC.

10:20 a.m. – Medical: 88-year-old female is not feeling well. Thornfield VFD and OCA responded. 

10:59 a.m. – Caller reported that trash was thrown out at Highway OO and County Road 663. Trash appears to include a camera. OCSD offericer spoke with caller by phone.

4:53 p.m. – Medical: 72-year-old male with congestive heart failure is having difficulty breathing and is losing consciousness. OCA and Bakersfield VFD responded. Patient transported to BRMC.

5:36 p.m. – Lift assistance requested. Lick Creek VFD and OCSD responded. 

8:38 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested on Highway 160. OCSD responded. Subject checks OK.

9:26 p.m. – Caller reported possible sighting of missing teenager Emily Shipley in Branson. OCSD rendered assistance.

9:50 p.m. – Medical: elderly female fell backward. Wasola VFD unable to respond. Gainesville VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

 

Jan. 10

12:47 a.m. – Vehicle stop on MM Highway near Dollar General. OCSD rendered assistance.

4:22 a.m. – Caller reported cows in roadway on Highway 160 near Penny Lane. OCSD contacted animal owner.

6:03 a.m. – Caller hit deer on Highway 160 at Tecumseh curves. Vehicle has front-end and grill damage. Wanted on record for insurance purposes.

6:05 a.m. – Medical: 62-year-old female with COPD is having breathing problems. OCA responded; patient was transported to BRMC.

7:20 a.m. – Caller reported careless and imprudent driver in burgundy sedan, possibly a Honda, swerving and unable to maintain speeds on Highway 160 by sale barn. Missouri State Highway Patrol responded.

10:26 a.m. – Caller reported that someone is stealing small items from her home in Gainesville. OCSD contacted caller’s son, who said the report is unfounded. 

12:45 a.m. – Residential alarm activated. OCSD responded; checks OK.

2:14 p.m. – Medical: 54-year-old diabetic female’s lips are numb; she requests transport to OMC. OCA, Tecumseh VFD and Air Evac responded. 

3:15 p.m. – Request received to aid another agency; OCSD responded.

8:21 p.m. – Caller said three vehicles are at a house where no one should be. OCSD responded and found no forced entry, no one around. Checked OK.

 

Jan. 11

4:30 a.m. – Caller in Gainesville said a male subject had assaulted her. OCSD responded.

6:47 a.m. – Caller said for the last three mornings, a tan car and a dark-colored truck have  been sitting at site on Highway H where there should be no vehicles. OCSD rendered assistance.

7:54 a.m. – Prisoner transport to Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center.

9:57 a.m. – Jennifer Winters arrested in Caulfield.

10:10 a.m. – Caller hit deer on Highway 5 south, causing damage to vehicle. OCSD rendered assistance.

10:33 a.m. – Medical: elderly woman with dementia. Bakersfield VFD and OCA responded.

11:23 a.m. – John Richardson arrested in Caulfield. OCSD officer met Howell County officer at Dollar General.

12:19 p.m. – Lift assistance needed; 74-year-old female has been down since early this morning. Wasola, Gainesville, Squires, Caney Mountain, Thornfield and Squires VFDs were dispatched.

1:17 p.m. – Medical: 74-year-old female has high blood pressure and blood sure. OCA responded.

7:04 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested in Gainesville. OCSD responded; checked OK.

11:22 p.m. – Caller said a person is walking to their drive and then back to a church. OCSD responded; checked OK.

 

Jan. 12

12:05 a.m. – Medical: 26-year-old female is having trouble breathing. OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

12:13 a.m. – Medical: 65-year-old male is spitting blood and having trouble breathing. Caney Mountain and Ava Ambulance responded.

6:03 a.m. – Medical: 85-year-old male is having trouble breathing. OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

8:41 a.m. – Medical: 64-year-old male is having trouble breathing. Thorn-field VFD and OCA responded.

10:05 a.m. – Medical: Elderly person is having chest pains. Ambulance dispatched from West Plains.

11:19 a.m. – Dora VFD  requested for mutual aid with Eastern Douglas VFD. 

6:46 p.m. – Medical: 62-year-old has swelling. OCA responded. Patient was transported.

10:28 p.m. – Caller has lost two horses in Stump Hole area. Wanted it on record in case they’re found.

 

Jan. 13

2:17 a.m. – Caller said two 15-year-old males left home alone. OCSD responded; checked OK.

3:16 a.m. – Vehicle went through fence and into field on Highway 5 south. Driver was taken to hospital by private vehicle. OCSD rendered assistance.

1:57 p.m. – Medical: 67-year-old female is breathing and has high fever but is unresponsive. OCT responded; patient transported to BRMC.   

2:13 p.m. – Caller on W Highway said her jewelry has been stolen. OCSD rendered assistance.

3:40 p.m. – Caller said the neighbor’s dog attacked her goat on Highway 5 north. OCSD advised this is civil case.

5:14 p.m. – Careless and imprudent driver reported on T Highway. OCSD responded; unable to locate.

6:12 p.m. – Medical: 91-year-old female has low blood pressure. OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC.

10:15 p.m. – Traffic stop on J Highway. Handled by officer.

10:47 p.m. – Traffic stop on Plenty Wood Lane. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:19 p.m. – Caller said someone in an older Chevy truck is poaching deer in a field on County Road 945. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:24 p.m. – Traffic stop east of park. OCSD issued warning.

 

 

Jan. 14

9:16 a.m. – Caller reported traffic is backed up due to slippery conditions on J Highway north of the Lick Creek bridge. OCSD rendered assistance.

1:32 p.m. – Duke’s Towing said it was called to a vehicle accident at Highway 160 and County Road 550. Vehicle slid off roadway due to ice, causing damage to road  sign. Referred to MSHP.

3:37 p.m. – Vehicle went through fence on County Road 863. Subjects are leaving vehicle overnight and will get it in the morning. MSHP responded.

4:43 p.m. _ Well-being/security check requested on Highway 95 east of N Highway. OCSD responded; checked OK.

6:41 p.m. – Stranded motorist at Highway 95 north and County Road 141. Red four-door sedan slid off road. Owner will get car in the morning. OCSD responded; checked OK.

6:44 p.m. – Caller said a subject moved out this morning and now wants to return to “settle this” and is bringing several people with her. OCSD rendered assistance; officer spoke to caller on phone and offered extra patrol.

7:08 p.m. – Medical: 23-year-old female, 23 weeks pregnant, has stomach pain and possible contractions and wants to go to OMC. Gainesville FD and OCA responded. Patient transported to OMC. 

7:22 p.m. – Stranded motorist reported car stuck in middle of O Highway east of County Road 567. MSHP, Bakersfield VFD and Duke’s Towing responded.

7:34 p.m. – Stranded motorist’s vehicle at Hillside and Cedar Oak Drive is blocking traffic. OCSD and Ron’s Recovery responded. 

 

Jan. 15

7:27 a.m. – Medical: 32-year-old female is having seizures, stops breathing. OCA, Cox EMS and Thornfield VFD were disapatched. Air Evac declined due to snow.  Patient was transported by Cox EMS to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

8:41 a.m. – Caller had three horses go missing about two weeks ago: one Percheron, black with white on forehead and on back of hooves, stumpy tail and blind right eye; one palomino, reddish chestnut with white blade on head and four stockings; and a palomino with light tail and mane and white socks with brown spots by both eyes. Wanted it on record in case they’re found.
