Auctions, potluck and music included in Lane fundraiser on Saturday, June 16
A benefit pie auction, potluck supper and silent auction are being planned by friends, family members and neighbors to help Wasola-area residents Paul and Annette Lane, whose home was badly damaged by fire on May 13. The event begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Wasola Volunteer Fire Department firehouse on Highway 5 south of Wasola. Annette Lane serves on the WVFD board, and the couple’s son, Jeffrey Lane, is a volunteer firefighter.
Live music will be performed by the Backyard Bluegrass Band. Mike and Sam Overturf will serve as auctioneers, and area residents are encouraged to donate baked goods and desserts to sell in the pie auction as well as merchandise for the silent auction.
