Santa Claus came to town Friday might, visiting Gainesville Elementary School during the special choir’s performance of ’Twas One Crazy Night Before Christmas. He’s coming back this week and next, and through the magic of Christmas (and perhaps some  rocketing reindeer), he’ll be making simulataneous appearances in various parts of Ozark County on Dec. 15. Other appearances are also included in the list below. Except for the Dora junior class fundraiser, which has a charge, all events are free and open to all.

 

Antler Pizza & Package

Santa and Mrs. Claus are expected at Antler Pizza & Package from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, and again from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. The Antler is at Highway 5 and Third Street in Gainesville.  For more information, call the Antler at 417-679-4598.

 

Caulfield and Gainesville Subways

Santa Claus will be at the Gainesville Subway location at Highways 160 and 5 north from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 15. He will visit the Caulfield Subway from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. Pictures will be taken at the restaurants to be developed later, and parents and family members are welcome to bring their own cameras and smart phones to snap photos too. Dora School

The Dora High School junior class is hosting breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, in the school cafeteria. In addition to a pancake breakfast and pictures with Santa, the event includes a coloring center, cookie decorating, a holiday treat bag and holiday craft activities. Tickets are $15 per person at the door, $10 in advance from Dora juniors. Children age 2 and younger are free. Cash Saver Pantry

Santa will be at Cash Saver Pantry on Highway 160 in Theodosia from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. Parents are encouraged to bring their own cameras or cell phones to take photos; the store won’t be taking pictures. For more information call Cash Saver Pantry at 417-273-4784.

 

Century Bank of the Ozarks - Gainesville

Santa will be at Century Bank of the Ozarks in Gainesville from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 22. Parents are encouraged to bring cameras or smart phones for photos with Santa. Cookies and hot cocoa will be available. For more information, call Century Bank at 417-679-3321.
