OMC offers stroke education event June 6 at The Center

In observance of Brain Awareness Month in June, Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains is offering free health educational events about stroke and headache disorders, including a stroke education presentation set for 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at The Center in Gainesville.
Quintin Aldophson, RN, OMC stroke coordinator, will speak on how to spot a stroke and what to do, the critical importance of time to treatment and stroke-prevention tips. The presentation is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
OMC will also offer a free community education dinner from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at OMC Parkway Center in West Plains. Dr. Clara Applegate, neurologist at OMC Neuro-sciences Center, will speak on headache disorders. The dinner is free, but reservations are required and can be made by calling 417-257-6793.
