Girl Scout Alana Kimmen, center, was misidentified in the photos accompanying last week’s story about Sampson Masonic Lodge’s flag retirement ceremony on June 30 in Theodosia. Also shown are emcee Len Modlinski, left, and Theodosia Area VFD firefighter Craig Mierkowski. The flag shown was being dedicated to the memory of former junior TAVFD firefighter Savannah Leckie, who died last year. In addition to Sampson Masonic Lodge, Girl Scouts from Troop #71227 in Gainesville and TAVFD members, these groups also attended or participated in the ceremony: the Jr. Air Force  ROTC  from Branson High School, VFW Post #5366 and AMVETS Post #154 from Isabella, Combat Vets Motorcycle Association chapter 4-12 from Gainesville, the Ozark County Honor Guard and the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department.
