Deputy’s mom on Price Is Right

Ozark County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Urich’s mother, Susan Urich, second from right, didn’t win the Showcase round when she appeared as a contestant on the nationally syndicated Price Is Right show recently, but she certainly deserved a prize for her enthusiasm. She exuberantly shrieked, jumped, yelled, danced and bounced her way through successfully winning some pricey iPhones and then continued on to “spin the wheel” and qualify for the final round, where she even kept up her joyful excitement as she lost to her opponent, who won a 70-inch TV, a vacation and a car. Laura Urich, Deputy Urich’s wife, said her mother-in-law, who lives in Santa Ynez, California, attended the show’s taping in Hollywood with her brother, Kent Hall, pictured above with his two daughters, Sarah (left, above), and Lisa Marie. When Susan was called to “Come on down!” and serve as a contestant, she was following a family tradition of appearing on the Price Is Right that started in the 1990s with her own mother, who won a fish tank and some Sea-doo jet skis, Laura said.
