Dora man dies in fatal rollover crash Thursday morning

Everette E. Collins, 43, of Dora, died Thursday, April 25, in a rollover accident on Highway 14, about seven miles northeast of Dora, in Douglas County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, filed by MSHP Cpl. N. J. Britt, says the accident occurred at 5 a.m. when Collins, driving a 1996 Ford Explorer eastbound on Highway 14, ran off the right side of the highway. The vehicle overturned, ejecting Collins, who was pronounced dead at 5:30 a.m. by acting coroner Taylor Wallace.
The Explorer was a total loss and was towed from the scene. Collins was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.
This was the sixth fatality accident in MSHP Troop G in 2019 compared with 11 at this time in 2018.
