Food to be distributed June 19

An emergency food distribution will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, June 19, in the Lutie School parking lot. The event will operate as a drive-thru service, with residents lining up and driving through the parking lot to receive a box of food. Members of the Missouri National Guard will be on site to help load boxes into vehicles. The exact contents of the food boxes is not yet known, but last month’s boxes included chicken, bread, fresh vegetables, fruit and frozen items. 

There is no income requirement to receive the food, and it is not limited to residents who have children in Lutie School. The food drive is open to all members of the community who sign up. 

To participate, call Lutie School at 417-273-4274 and provide a name, such as the “John Smith family.”
