Historium quilters make masks for GHCC

Several GHCC employees immediately tried out their new masks and said they found them comfortable and attractive. Several members of the Historium Quilt Group donated 94 hand-sewn face masks to the Gainesville Health Care Center last week, after GHCC director Sherri Beasley requested them. Barbara Luna, one of the participants in the project and a member of the Ozark County Historium board of directors, displays the masks on her front-porch walkway railing. The sewists maintained a proper social distance by making the masks at home, rather than gathering at the Historium to work together, as they enjoy doing. Barbara’s front porch was the drop-off point. The quilters are now sewing additional masks to ensure there are enough for use, should the need arise.
