Several members of the Historium Quilt Group donated 94 hand-sewn face masks to the Gainesville Health Care Center last week, after GHCC director Sherri Beasley requested them. Barbara Luna, one of the participants in the project and a member of the Ozark County Historium board of directors, displays the masks on her front-porch walkway railing. The sewists maintained a proper social distance by making the masks at home, rather than gathering at the Historium to work together, as they enjoy doing. Barbara’s front porch was the drop-off point. The quilters are now sewing additional masks to ensure there are enough for use, should the need arise.
