Historium tea is Thursday, Aug. 4

Heather Hoffman of Rock Hill Farm is known for her beautifully arranged, fresh cut flowers. She is the speaker at this year’s Historium tea.
Tickets are now on sale for the Ozark County Historium’s annual summertime tea, to be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Historium building on the square in Gainesville.
This year’s theme is “fresh cut flowers,” and Heather Hoffman of Rock Hill Flower Farm in Pottersville will be the guest speaker.
Hoffman, who sells fresh flowers that she raises from seeds she starts, has developed sound practices to ensure that she has a large number and wide variety of flowers and greenery that she shapes into beautiful bouquets. She will speak about her garden and how she makes it work.
Heather is known for the gorgeous variety of flowers in her bouquets and their natural-looking arrangements.
There is a limited number of tickets for the tea, which must be purchased in advance; the cost is $10 and includes a meal and the program. They are available at the Historium, located on the west side of the square in downtown Gainesville.
Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
