Jeff Hyatt retires
Gainesville R-V School District superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Hyatt, fourth from left, presided over his final school board meeting Thursday, June 25, before his retirement began June 30. Board members brought in a cake and refreshments to help him celebrate the occasion. “I’m still going to be a part of the community,” Hyatt said. “I’ll be around.” He said his retirement plans include continuing his work on the White River Valley Electric Cooperative board, enjoying some travel with his wife, Shelby, and teaching drivers’ education during Gainesville’s summer school session.
