Making hay while the sun shines

After several days of rainy weather, hay bales were a common sight around Ozark County as farmers took advantage of the sunshine to get their hay fields cut and baled. This photo, snapped by Dora resident Shana Hambelton Monday afternoon, shows the family’s farm and the old tractor that’s “been in our family a really long time.” Shana said the field is on land that has been in her husband Shawn’s family for years. “His great-grandpa Lester Hambelton had it, then grandpa Chad, and Shawn and I bought it 12 or 13 years ago,” she said.
