MoDOT updates schedule for Highway 160 resurfacing, plans Highway 181 work too

The Missouri Department of Transportation has updated the schedule for resurfacing a  long section of Highway 160 in Ozark and Taney Counties.
The work, originally scheduled for July 9-Aug. 15, has now been rescheduled to occur from Monday, July 23, through Wednesday, Aug. 15. Weather permitting, work will be done from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, including weekends as necessary, according to a MoDOT news release.
Highway 160 will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews complete the project, which will resurface Highway 160 from Highway 5 south 5 in Ozark County to Route 125 south in Taney County.
Traffic will be guided through the work zone with the use of a pilot car. The work zone will be marked with signs, and motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near the area.
Also, Highway 181 in Ozark and Douglas counties will be reduced to one lane today and tomorrow, June 20-21, as MoDOT crews install a partial overlay from  Highway 76 in Douglas County to H Highway south of Dora.
Weather permitting, work will be done from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
