Motorists injured in recent crashes

Several motorists were injured in recent Ozark County accidents.

 

Cited for DWI with a child in the car

Linda M. Pullen, 46, of Tecumseh, was transported by air ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield May 8 after sustaining serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 5 about 1 mile south of Wasola at 6:35 a.m. Pullen was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a juvenile in the vehicle and also cited for careless and imprudent driving. 

According to the MSHP crash report, Pullen was traveling southbound on Highway 5 in a 2001 Mazda MPV when the minivan ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned. The vehicle, a total loss,  was towed from the scene. The report says Pullen was wearing a seatbelt. This crash was investigated by MSHP Sgt. L. S. Eliiot assisted by the Wasola Volunteer Fire Department. 

 

Rollover accident in Bakersfield

Caulfield resident Gina Brown, 31, and Eric Mondy, 34, of West Plains, were transported to Ozarks Medi-cal Center in West Plains with minor injuries from a rollover crash May 6 on V Highway about 5 miles northwest of Bakersfield. 

According to the MSHP online crash report, Brown was driving a 2014 Toyota Rav 4 eastbound on V Highway around 3:20 p.m.  when she attempted to make a left turn onto County Road 680, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned, coming to rest in the ditch. 

The vehicle, a total loss, was towed from the scene. The report says both Brown and Mondy were wearing seatbelts. This crash was investigated by MSHP Trooper J. O. Prater assisted by Trooper D. L. Nash. 

 

Squires teen injured in crash near Thornfield

Jordan R. Evans, 18, of Squires, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield on May 5 after sustaining minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash on JJ Highway, about 1 mile north of Thornfield. 

According to the MSHP online crash report, Evans was traveling northbound on JJ Highway in a 2010 GMC Sierra when the truck ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and returned to the roadway. The report says Evans was not wearing a seatbelt. The truck, a total loss, was towed from the scene. This crash was investigated by MSHP Trooper J. O. Prater. 

 

Gainesville man injured in crash on Highway 5

Colton Neal, 21, of Wasola, was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas, May 5 after sustaining moderate injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 5, about 1 mile north of Gainesville. 

According to the MSHP crash report, Neal was traveling northbound on High-way 5 in a 1998 Dodge Caravan at 9:22 p.m. when the van ran off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment.

The report says Neal was wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle had minor damage and was towed from the scene. This crash was investigated by MSHP Trooper J. O. Prater.
