Needmore Church of God to hold dedication service for new building

Needmore Church of God will celebrate completion of its multipurpose building with a dedication service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. The Elmores will be singing, and the Rev. Gale Wooten, former pastor of Mammoth Assembly of God, will be the dedication speaker.

“This has been a project spanning several years of raising funds and completing construction,” said Needmore Pastor Betty Stanley. “We are so thankful for the way God has blessed our church during this project and excited to be able to celebrate its completion.”

The structure serves as the fellowship hall with a commercial-grade kitchen and special events center for the congregation. “The building has been equipped with special lighting and sound features that will make it usable for a variety of events,” Stanley said.

In addition, the building features a prayer chapel that doubles as a Sunday school classroom. “This has been a wonderful addition. The chapel has a huge window that faces east. For the past two years we have been able to hold our Easter sunrise service in the chapel, and the sunrises have been spectacular!” she said. “We also are scheduling a prayer vigil from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, specifically focusing on revival services that are scheduled the following week, plus prayer for our nation. The chapel will be open for members of the congregation and anyone else who would like to stop by and spend time in prayer during those hours.”

Wooten will be conducting revival services at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Oct. 30-Nov. 1. Supper will be served at 6 p.m. prior to the service.

Needmore Church of God is on Highway 181 about 3 miles north of Hodgson Mill.

“We invite everyone to join us for the dedication celebration and for the revival services,” Stanley said.
