Peony blossom

Lyndell Strong brought this huge peony blossom to the Times office to be photographed and shared with our readers. She said she planted it about three years ago, and this is the first year it has bloomed. She first thought it was a poppy coming up in her flower bed, but then it bushed out and produced six big blossoms.
