Pontiac Easter gourd hunt

Pontiac resident Linda Dunsmuir has painted 16 colorful gourd “eggs” that are now hidden in the Pontiac campground for youngsters to find, photograph and put back in their hiding places for others to discover. Dunsmuir asks families to be mindful of social distancing and CDC group-size limits while making sure kids’ hands are cleaned with hand sanitizer if they pick up the “eggs.” She says finders should take a photo of each “egg” with the number showing, post it on her Facebook page to prove they’ve found it, and then leave it there for someone else to find. She has also hidden a special treasure for kids to keep when they find and post all 16 eggs on her page. “Have fun. Let the hunt begin!” she said in her recent Facebook post.
