Reinforcing Bakersfield bridge pillars

It’s not every day that Missouri Department of Transportation workers get to wear swimming trunks to work, but while installing concrete forms in Bennetts Bayou to help reinforce the Highway 142 bridge pillars in Bakersfield, the shorts came in handy. The MoDOT crew is installing the concrete forms, which were custom built last year when similar work was done on Patrick Bridge, and they will soon be pouring concrete to bolster the bridge pillars, officials said.
