Sharing a survivor’s story
Katelyn Brantingham was the featured speaker at the monthly ladies prayer brunch Saturday morning at Mammoth Assembly of God. Katelyn, a 20-year-old Southwest Baptist University student, underwent surgery in December to remove tumors in her brain and spine and is on the path to a successful recovery. At the prayer service following brunch, she shared her testimony with 92 women who represented 22 area churches. Gainesville High School student Gracyn Blackburn sang, and a duet by Kris Ledbetter and Brenda Warren accompanied by Charlotte Holmes on piano was also performed. “It was a great service,” said Mammoth Assembly member Penny Britt. The next ladies prayer brunch is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at St. William’s Catholic Church in Gainesville. All women are invited to attend.
