April 2
12:39 p.m. – White cow is out on T Highway south of Liner. Dispatch called Lick Creek VFD to see if they knew who it belonged to. Howards Ridge resident will check to see if it’s his.
4:58 p.m. – Warrant arrest on W Highway.
5:40 p.m. – Warrant arrest at Douglas County line.
6:35 p.m. – Reporting party says a horse in a pasture on FF Highway looks to be malnourished and in bad health. Officer spoke with horse’s owner, who said horse has food and water but is 26 years old.
8:39 p.m. – Warrant arrest, Ava Police Department.
10:29 p.m. – Caller on Sailfin Drive says he is seeing lights and people in his front yard. OCSD rendered assistance.

April 3
2:23 a.m. – Caller’s vehicle hit deer on Highway 5 north past Antler. Vehicle damage but no injuries.
8:17 a.m. – Lift assistance needed on W Highway. Timber Knob VFD responded.
9:42 a.m. – Front door alarm activated on W Highway. Call canceled by ADT Co.
10:08 a.m. – Medical: Elderly lady fell from standing and hit her head. Ozark County Ambulance and Brixey-Rockbridge VFD responded. Patient was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
10:21 a.m. – Medical: Elderly man is sick. South Howell Ambulance and Caulfield VFD responded.
10:33 a.m. – Rear door alarm activated at Historium. Handled by officer. Everything is fine. Historium volunteer set off alarm accidentally.
10:35 a.m. – Caller at Mineral Point Church on County Road 561 cannot get the door shut properly. Keyholder was contacted and will come to close the door.
10:47 a.m.– Caller said a four-wheeler is sitting where it should not be across from dentist office.
11:45 a.m. – Woman in her 60s is lost picking mushrooms at end of W Highway by Hollingsworth Cove, near Marion County (Arkansas) Road 151. Pontiac Price Place VFD responded. Woman found her way out.
12:47 p.m. – Medical: Elderly man has fallen and cannot get to his walker. Lift assistance needed. Pontiac Price Place VFD responded.
1:54 p.m. – Abandoned vehicle on Smokey Road: Mercury with Arkansas tags. OCSD rendered assistance.
2:14 p.m. – Numerous calls came in about a man on a bicycle at Highways 5 south and 160 holding a sign wanting to go to  Ava. Officers checked the man, who has been there two days. No laws being broken.
2:27 p.m. – Caller at Dora post office called to say a door that is usually locked at all times when post office is closed is now unlocked. Dispatch contacted Gainesville post office to ask who to contact. Mail carrier will lock the door.
4:30 p.m. – Citizen assistance rendered. Courtesy ride, shelter and food for the night in Douglas County were found for the subject.
5:52 p.m. – Caller on Highway 160 said the neighbor’s dogs continually come to her property to try to fight her dogs. Officer spoke to reporting party by phone. Officer was unable to make contact with the neighbor but left a note on door asking him to call the sheriff’s office in reference to his dogs getting out. Officer later spoke to subject on the phone.
7:39 p.m. – Caller said a drunk person is at a Theodosia business trying to urinate all over the place and climb into manager’s car. OCSD rendered assistance.
9:18 p.m. – Traffic stop in Gainesville. OCSD.
11:26 p.m. – Vehicle stop on MM Highway behind Dollar General.

April 4
8:36 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. – Callers said woman on Gainesville square may be intoxicated. MSHP officer brought the subject into OCSD holding area.
10:14 a.m. –Suspicious incident on Smokey Road. OCSD called Fulton County, Arkansas, and they are going to do some checking on a 2004 Chevy Impala.
3:20 p.m. – Prisoner transport, Baxter County, Arkansas.
6:11 p.m. – Caller on Korn Trail said three dogs are attacking his calf.
6:30 p.m. – Caller on T Highway said someone has taken her WCA trash can. Needed it on record.
7:46 p.m. – Caller said a dark Blazer followed her home and then sped off when she got to her residence on County Road 306. Wanted it on record.

April 5
12:00 a.m. – Caller said there are people in her backyard with flashlights. OCSD rendered assistance. No one is in the area.  A new tower with flashing lights was thought to be flashlights.
12:04 a.m.  – Caller says family members are not supposed to be in her grandparents’ home; they are not deceased. OCSD rendered assistance.
1 a.m. – Howell County contacted OCSD to say it had received a phone call reporting a white car in ditch on Highway 101 three miles south of Caulfield with flashers on and parts of the vehicle in the roadway, but no one is around the vehicle. Asking for assistance. OCSD rendered assistance. Vehicle had hit a deer. OCSD officer put deer down; trooper arrived on scene.
5:34 a.m. – Medical: Elderly male is having possible heart attack. OCA responded. Patient transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
8:04 a.m. – Prisoner transport: Robin Greathouse, Southeast Correctional Facility.
11:05 a.m. – Caller said three dogs attacked their dog, not sure about their cattle yet. OCSD rendered assistance.
11:24 a.m. – A 2008 Jeep Liberty has front-end damage after hitting an animal on Highway 5 south. OCSD rendered assistance.
5:10 p.m. –  Reporting party said her 16-year-old daughter assaulted her and possibly broke her hand. Handled by officer.
6:29 p.m. – Medical: 34-year-old female has possible broken hand. OCA and Theodosia Area VFD responded.
11:16 p.m. – Erika Rorie arrested, Baxter County (Arkansas) jail.

April 6
12:35 a.m. – Caller said a white van is all over the road on Highway 5 north headed into town. MSHP, OCSD rendered assistance.
7:06 a.m. – Medical: 83-year-old female. Caulfield VFD, OCA responded.
10:22 a.m. – A bunch of black bulls are out near Wasola Church. OCSD contacted possible owner, who said he would go check.
10:38 a.m. – Caller found an item and said it will be held at Newton Well Drilling if owner is found. OCSD rendered assistance. Owner will pick up item.
11:20 a.m. – Caller said a person wants caller to take her to buy some alcohol. Officer spoke with subject on phone.
2:02 p.m. – A black Trailblazer pulling a trailer went through Ava with subject yelling and holding a gun out the window. Douglas County called OCSD; they were unable to locate. Then Douglas County called and said it was a 250-pound one-legged man.
3:24 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested on AR Highway. OCSD responded. Checked OK.
6:15 p.m. – Reporting party got a call claiming to be from Publishers Clearinghouse saying the government had put a hold on her money, and she would need to purchase something from Wells Fargo to release it. Caller wanted it on record.
6:20 p.m. – Caller said someone broke into Eaton Church last night. OCSD took report.
7:46 p.m. – Prisoner transport, Howell County.
7:49 p.m. – Flue fire reported on Douglas County Road 350. Dora VFD responded.
8:14 p.m. – Caller said a big truck was doing donuts in field near creek last night on County Road 617. OCSD rendered assistance; officer spoke with reporting party, who just wants it on record for now.
8:27 p.m. – Subject arrested  on AR Highway.
10:05 p.m. – Single-vehicle accident, no injuries, on High School Drive. OCSD, MSHP rendered assistance.

April 7
1:25 a.m. – Caller said a subject came into his house on Highway 181, threatening him in front of his kids. Subject was asked to leave and wouldn’t. Now caller said subject has left and  deputy is no longer needed.
9:16 a.m – Calf reported on roadway at Highways 160 and 5 south. OCSD contacted animal owner.
10:05 a.m. – Prisoner transported to Samaritan Outreach in West Plains.
10:25 a.m. – Medical: 54-year-old female fell in shower and is complaining of all-over pain. Caulfield VFD and OCA responded.
11:45 a.m. – Caller says a black Chevy pickup was parked crossways in the middle of Highway 5 north near Bryant Plastics, causing the caller to have to stop. Caller said a man, about 5’10”, 150 pounds, bald, in mid-30s, wearing a red-and-white shirt and blue jeans, approached caller’s car, looked in the window, and said, “Wrong dude. Sorry” then walked back to his vehicle and drove away. A previous phone call about this black Chevy pickup came in, saying this subject had been driving through another reporting party’s field. Referred to MSHP.
1:17 p.m. – South Howell said a call came into 911, with reporting party saying her grandmother had gotten physical with her during an argument. South Howell attempted to connect her to OCSD, but reporting party hung up, saying, “Never mind. It will only get worse before it gets better.” Call was from a phone that did not have call-back capabilities, possibly out of time on the phone plan. OCSD officer spoke to residents at the address on County Road 578. No signs of struggle. Original reporting party went for a walk and was not at the residence.
2:27 p.m. – Reporting party says a red Chevy Lumina was driving backward about 35 MPH on County Road 618. OCSD responded; unable to locate.
4:04 p.m. – Disturbance reported, D Highway. Subject in altercation with his father. Handled by officer.
6:37 p.m. – Medical: 84-year-old male has bleeding. OCA responded.

April 8
12:08 a.m. – Lift assistance requested in Harlin Heights.
10:16 a.m. – Caller said her brother is in a nursing home, and when she went to his house on County Road 131 to oversee and secure personal belongings, she discovered a large air conditioning unit had been stolen. OCSD took report.
10:53 a.m. – Medical: elderly patient needs transport due to mental status change. OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC.
12:42 p.m. – Medical: 94-year-old female with feeding tube is vomiting and has dry heaves. OCA and Caulfield VFD responded. Patient was transported to OMC.
1:45 p.m. – Medical: 54-year-old male has possible mental issue. South Howell Ambulance and Caulfield VFD responded.
2:48 p.m. – Reporting party said he is with the owner of a residence on Sandford Lane, and they have discovered a gun has been stolen. OCSD officer spoke with reporting party. This is an ongoing civil dispute that is in court proceedings.
5:08 p.m. – Medical: 26-year-old female is having seizure. Timber Knob VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.
6:14 p.m. – Caller said a brown horse is in her yard on County Road 639B. Possible animal owner contacted.
7:36 p.m. – Subject is threatening to harm himself and others. Subject has shotgun and has fired it once while on the phone. OCSD, MSHP responded. At 8:07 p.m., the subject called his father when MSHP drove by and then threatened again to kill his father. At 8:37 p.m., OCSD officer intercepted the subject on a four-wheeler at County Roads 153 and 154.
7:36 p.m. – Medical: Person has suffered possible stroke, has slurred speech and seizures. OCA, Caney Mountain VFD, Gainesville Fire, Air Evac responded. Patient transported.
9:44 p.m. – Prisoner transport, OMC. 96-hour mental evaluation.
10:25 p.m. – Traffic stop, Dollar General parking lot. Warning issued.
10:45 p.m. – Traffic stop, Bullseye. Warning issued.
11:39 p.m. – Caller said her grandsons are fighting and threatening her. Subject arrested.
11:46 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested. Caller said a subject is off meds and not acting right. OCSD rendered assistance. Subject refuses all medical attention.

April 9
1:36 a.m. – Little black sports car headed up Highway 181 ran the reporting party off the road at Highways 160 and 181. OCSD rendered assistance.
7:05 a.m. – A white station wagon reportedly went around a Bakersfield school bus  with yellow flashing lights on Highway 160 at Caulfield. OCSD rendered assistance.
