April 23
9:02 a.m. – Reporting party said his blue 1977 Lincoln broke down on the Spring Creek Bridge, and he has left it there and will get it removed. Wanted OCSD to know so it isn’t towed.
10:01 a.m. – Medical: 72-year-old male has COPD. Ozark County Ambulance responded. Patient was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
10:06 a.m. – Lift assistance needed for 101-year-old male who has fallen and needs help getting back in bed. Theodosia Area Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched; call was canceled.
10:42 a.m. –  Caller said an old grinder had been stolen from the back deck of a site on Highway 95. Wanted it on record.
11:28 a.m. – Caller on County Road 804 said she had lost her Life Alert button. Wanted it on record.
11:47 a.m. – Medical: 55-year-old male is breathing but not responsive. Tecumseh VFD responded. South Howell ambulance was dispatched but then was canceled.
11:57 a.m. –  Caller said glass was broken in the front of old City Hall on Fourth Street. Requested extra patrol.
1:13 p.m. – Caller said motor and transmission had been taken out of a vehicle that was used as collateral. OCSD rendered assistance.
2:10 p.m. – Medical: 85-year-old female is in and out of being awake. OCA responded.
5:03 p.m. – Reporting party said he was approached by a male subject on County Road 617 who threatened and cussed him when reporting party was passing by in his vehicle. Wanted it on record.
5:48 p.m. – Caller said her soon-to-be-ex-husband is attempting to contact her via cell phone and her sister’s cell phone. Caller wants a deputy to contact him and tell him to stop. OCSD rendered assistance.
7:08 p.m. – Caller said a male subject is walking in the middle of the highway on Highway 160 near Hoerman Park. OCSD rendered assistance.
7:47 p.m. – Careless-and-imprudent driver reported on Highway 5 north, south-bound Unable to locate.
8:21 p.m. – Vehicle stop on Tecumseh Bridge. Handled by officer.
11:45 p.m. – Traffic stop on Fourth Street and Harlin Drive in Gainesville. Assistance rendered.

April 24
12:59 a.m. – Traffic stop on Highway 5 1 mile north of Bryant Plastics. Assistance rendered.
6:32 a.m. – Vehicle hit deer on Highway 160 5 miles east of Tecumseh Bridge. No injuries. Tecumseh VFD was dispatched but canceled. Missouri State Highway Patrol was called.
8:01 a.m. – Caller said the neighbor’s dogs are chasing his cattle on J Highway. Officer spoke with caller, who said this is the second time he has caught them chasing his cows, and five or six dogs are involved.
12:04 p.m. – Caller said a blonde-haired young female wearing a tie-dye shirt is walking down the road toward Gainesville at Highway 160 and County Road 863. At 1:45 p.m. the officer said the subject was not there. At 1:48 officer was out at Ready-mix plant but had negative contact.
1:12 p.m. – Caller can hear yelling and screaming from house on Harlin Drive. OCSD responded. Checked OK.
2:12 p.m. – Medical: 64-year-old female is having trouble breathing. Bakersfield VFD and South Howell ambulance responded.
5:15 p.m. – Civil papers served: ex parte adult papers and child papers served on inmate in holding cell.
5:16 p.m. – Two men from Department of Natural Resources are surveying on caller’s land, and he is concerned because they did not ask his permission to comr onto his land. OCSD rendered assistance.
6:01 p.m. – Several vehicles are being repossessed on Music Lane. OCSD rendered assistance.
6:20 p.m. – Burglary reported on Liebe Drive. Nothing was taken. Officer spoke to caller, who believed it was prior tenants who moved out in December.
7:26 p.m. – Reporting party says her sister’s soon-to-be-ex-husband is trying to contact her through his mother’s phone number. Wanted it on record.
8:28 p.m. – Lift assistance needed on County Road 827. Theodosia Area VFD responded.
9:05 p.m. – Caller said a tree is down and on fire on east side of Highway 95 south of County Road 873. Thornfield VFD responded. Top of tree is burning and is too dangerous to put out, but responders believe it will burn itself out since the ground is wet.

April 25
7:33 a.m. – Caller reported a 2013 white Elantra was hit in rear on County Road 830. OCSD rendered assistance.
10:06 a.m. – Caller on KK Highway said someone drove through his pasture and left his gates open last night. Officer spoke with reporting party by phone.
10:32 a.m. – Caller said White River Valley Electric Cooperative employees are forcing their way onto caller’s property on Ocean View. Wanted it on record.
3:43 p.m. – Careless-and-imprudent driver in gray 4 x 4 is traveling at high speed on County Road 605. MSHP stopped subject.
6:06 p.m. – Medical: elderly male is lying on the ground. Gainesville Fire and OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.
6:49 p.m. – Caller said a subject is at a location on Martingale Lane, causing damage and making threat with a ball bat. OCSD rendered assistance.
7:39 p.m. – Caller reported fighting on County Road 803. OCSD responded. Subject arrested.
8:16 p.m. – Well-being, security check requested on County Road 803C. OCSD rendered assistance. No one lives at residence.
9:22 p.m. – Caller said someone has broken into a residence on Highway 160. Handled by OCSD officer.
8:14 p.m. – Caller wants someone removed from a location at Airport Trailer Park. Handled by officer.
10:51 p.m. –Caller said a female had come to her house on County Road 364 asking for a jack to change a flat tire and then left. OCSD rendered assistance. Vehicle is stuck in the mud. Duke’s Towing was contacted.
11:14 p.m. – Caller said a subject broke a locked front door at Airport Trailer Park, walked in and grabbed his hygiene bag and stated he was not going to stay at Giles and Kendall as he originally told officer. Caller said he is driving while intoxicated. OCSD responded. Unable to locate.

April 26
9:37 a.m. – Medical: elderly man is unresponsive. OCA responded.
9:49 a.m. – Caller spoke to officer about people living at caller’s place.
10:00 a.m.  – Medical: subject is having trouble breathing. Thornfield VFD, OCA and Air Evac were contacted. Air Evac declined due to weather.
11:33 a.m. – No information on vehicle on road behind Tecumseh store. Subject arrested.
12:51 p.m. – Medical: Elderly woman is having trouble but is not in distress. OMC ambulance repsponded.
10:17 p.m. – Caller reported a black truck stalled in the middle of the road on County Road 530. OCSD rendered assistance. Vehicle is being towed.

April 27
12:15 a.m. – A blue Sierra pickup ran off the bridge near park and went into creek. No one is inside. OCSD rendered assistance, and MSHP and Duke’s Towing were called.
9:04 a.m. – A brown or tan car with handicap plates, headed toward West Plains on Highway 160 is reportedly all over the road. Handed off to Howell County.
11:13 a.m. – Caller said someone in a black unmarked Charger is trying to stop cars on Highway 5 north near Bryant Plastics, headed north. Contacted MSHP. Its nearest trooper is in Ava. Officers went to Wasola but were unable to locate subject.
4:34 p.m. – Mountain Grove Police Department, called in regard to a suggested well-being / security check on a male subject with Up Hill Drive address. MGPD said it picked up a subject who was using checks stolen from this address. OCSD officer attempted to make contact with male subject at this address; home appears to have been broken into and ransacked. No sign of homeowner or knowledge of whereabouts. Later, coroner was dispatched.
6:21 p.m. – Caller said kids are hanging around a burned apartment on Highway 181. Handled by officer.
6:57 p.m. – Disturbance reported on Cedar Oak Drive: subject hit his girlfriend. OCSD responded; unable to locate.
7:49 p.m. – Caller said a subject did not show up for exchange of child in Gainesville. Needed it on record.
7:55 p.m. – Careless and imprudent driver reported: black truck pulling a boat is all over the roadway on Highway 160. MSHP.
8:25 p.m. – Vehicle hit deer on Highway 5 north, incurring damage. OCSD rendered assistance; Ron’s Recovery dispatched.

April 28
12:34 a.m. – Traffic  stop on Highway 160 near park. OCSD rendered assistance.
12:48 a.m. – Caller said a person is walking in the field next to McClendon Drive. OCSD responded. Unable to locate.
1:06 a.m. – Stranded motorist reported at Highways 5 south and 160. OCSD rendered assistance.
6:18 a.m. – Medical: 77-year-old male is having trouble breathing. OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC.
8:32 a.m. – Reporting party on County Road 830 says he has 10 head of cattle missing after he was served ex parte papers. OCSD contacted MSHP Rural Crimes Division. Reporting party has also directly contacted the crimes division.
10:23 a.m. – Caller reported a green/blue semi with a box trailer on Highway 160 near Cloud 9 that is unable to maintain lines. Referred to MSHP.
12:39 p.m. – Caller said a water pipe is leaking at First Christian Church. OCSD contacted city worker.
2:08 p.m. – Brush fire on AA Highway near low-water bridge. Caney Mountain VFD responded.
4:24 p.m. – Caller reported property damage/vandalism in Theodosia. A subject hit reporting party’s swing set. Wanted it on record.
4:45 p.m. – Disturbance reported on Oak Street: caller said her sister hit her in the head as she was trying to hit her mother. OCSD responded. Subject arrested.
5:08 p.m. – Loud noise reported at bar on Parrothead Lane. Caller was told that this is happening in the county, not in city, and there’s nothing OCSD can do.
9:06 p.m. – Subject reported an assault on County Road 803. Report taken.
9:15 p.m. – Residential alarm is going off on KK Highway past Blair Bridge. OCSD responded. Checked OK.
10:03 p.m. – Subjects arrested related to suspected murder: Michael A Smith and Holly Lucas. Stolen vehicle found.

April 29
1:47 a.m. – Caller said a maroon Dodge Charger or Challenger had sped away from the Lick Creek Bullseye, and the car alarm was going off. OCSD responded. Unable to locate. No car alarm going off.
7:54 a.m. – Caller hit deer at 6:30 a.m. Vehicle has right front-end damage to grill and headlight housing. Wanted it on record for insurance purposes.
8:20 a.m. – Caller said a cow is near roadway on MM Highway by the MoDOT shed. OCSD contacted animal owner.
11:57 a.m. – Caller said her neighbor is standing in her yard on Highway 160 screaming at her son. OCSD and OCA responded. Subject arrested. Neighbor called 911 saying she was not leaving the residence. Patient was transported to OMC.
12:35 p.m. – Caller says some trash has been dumped on his property on County Road 813A, and several things at his home have been vandalized. Handled by OCSD officer.
1:10 a.m. – Vehicle accident on J Highway. Two subjects with unknown injuries. South Howell Ambu-lance responded but was canceled. Lick Creek VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.
1:51 p.m. – Medical: 64-year-old female is having chest pains. Caulfield VFD and South Howell Ambulance responded.
2:32 p.m. – Brush fire reported at County Roads 310 and 314. Caney Mountain VFD responded.
2:38 p.m. – Caller requested a well-being check on her sister on County Road 659. OCSD rendered assistance. Subject has changed cell phone carriers and hasn’t switched all numbers over yet.
3:19 p.m. – Caller requested that a black Honda left in Dollar General parking lot a week be towed. Bobby Smart towed vehicle.
4:47 p.m. – Medical: 66-year-old male has chest pains. Dora VFD and OCA responded.
6:23 p.m. – Disturbance: child dispute reported on County Road 325. Handled by OCSD officer.
