July 16

10:20 a.m. – Well-being / security check requested on County Road 659. Caller hasn’t heard from residents in two to three months. Ozark County Sheriff’s Department responded; person is fine, called and talked to reporting party.
12:49 p.m. – Branson Police Department called about a 15-year-old male who’s supposed to be living in and working in Branson but is to be living with grandparents here. OCSD rendered assistance. Subject was not there and was heading to Joplin. Officer gave information to Branson PD.
1:06 p.m. – Medical: 79-year-old female has chest pain. Ozark County Ambulance, Cox Ambulance were called. Patient transported to Cox Hospital-Branson.
2:03 p.m. – Caller said a Chevy Cavalier that had been “driving crazy” is now stuck at Gainesville Cemetery. Handled by OCSD officer and Ron’s Recovery towing.
2:10 p.m. – Yellow S-10 pickup is blocking roadway on Highway 5 south past T Highway. Timber Knob VFD and OCSD responded. Gone on arrival.
3:23 p.m. – Reporting party in Gainesville is getting constant harassing phone calls from 417-228-0774. OCSD rendered assistance.
4:32 p.m. – Reporting party said a nickel-plated Colt 1911.45 Gold Cup with brown grip was stolen within the last seven to 10 days. OCSD rendered assistance. Gun was entered into MULES.
5:43 p.m. – A box truck is partially blocking the roadway on Highway 5 north. It’s waiting on a tow truck. OCSD, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Gainesville VFD responded. Truck is waiting for Jim’s Towing to come from Ava.
8:11 p.m. – Stranded motorist is broken down in middle of road on J Highway. OCSD and Lick Creek VFD responded.

July 17
10:15 a.m. – Reporting party said a white Dodge is driving fast around the square. Assistance rendered.
12:30 p.m. – Burglary reported at Nash storage units. OCSD took report.
4:03 p.m. – Reporting party said a neighbor put a lock on his gate on Bella Vista Dr. OCSD responded; civil advised.
6:07 p.m. – Caller in Gainesville reported a scam IRS call. OCSD rendered assistance.
7:33 p.m. – Two green-and-charcoal 11-foot Ozark kayaks reported stolen between July 15-17 from Bronc Drive. OCSD took report.
9:04 p.m. – Medical: 18-year-old was bitten by a snake, possibly a cottonmouth. OCA and Pontiac VFD responded. Patient will go to hospital by private vehicle.

July 18
1:46 p.m. – Vehicle stop on Highway 160: OCSD officer confiscated a small amount of marijuana and a one-hitter pipe.
3:36 a.m. – Vehicle stop at Highway 181 and Bulldog Drive. Handled by officer.
12:34 p.m. – Medical: 78-year-old male has hypoxia. OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC.
2:28 p.m. – County driver  lost a piece of concrete off a trailer on Highway 160 east and needs help with truck lights to keep from getting run over. OCSD rendered assistance. Road & Bridge crew will be there about 3 p.m., and Lick Creek VFD will help.
4:43 p.m. – Reporting party said a car hit a dog on J Highway. OCSD rendered assistance.
5:37 p.m.– Caller said the driver of a blue Blazer pulling a pontoon boat on HH Highway is intoxicated. MSHP rendered assistance.
7:28 p.m. – Search warrant executed at Tecum-seh. Subject arrested.
8:36 p.m. – Reporting party in Gainesville is fighting with his 40-year-old son. Handled by officer. Reporting party will go to courthouse in the morning to get “96 papers” on son.
10:02 p.m. – Medical: 83-year-old fell on floor and is unable to move and is not making sense when she talks. OCA and Tecumseh VFD responded. Tecumseh and OCA returned to scene at 11:32. Patient was transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.

July 19
12:52 p.m. – Medical: 93-year-old female is dehydrated and has changed mental status. OCA responded; Air Evac was called but declined due to low ceiling. Patient was transported to BRMC.
3:18 p.m. – Medical: transport patient back to Gainesville Health Care Clinic. OCA responded.
8:36 p.m. – Reporting party hit a deer on H Highway with her 2013 Volkswagen. Needed it on record for insurance.
8:54 p.m. – Medical: 56-year-old female has high blood pressure and chest pain. OCA and Thornfield VFD responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.
8:59 p.m. – Power is out on County Road 122.
9:49 p.m. – Caller reported a large tree across roadway on County Road 107. County Road & Bridge Department responded.
11:02 p.m. – Traffic stop at Highways 160 and 181. OCSD rendered assistance.

July 20
6 a.m. – Vehicle accident on J Highway 2 miles south of Highway 160: one vehicle in ditch, no injuries, vehicle isn’t running. MSHP, Lick Creek VFD and Ron’s Recovery responded.
8:57 a.m. – Tree was struck by lightning and is on fire on County Road 813. Theodosias Area VFD responded.
10:30 a.m. – Red mule was reported missing from Rogers Avenue. Caller wanted it on record in case it’s found.
12:46 p.m. – Abandoned Nissan Altima on Highway 160 at County Road 551. Referred to MSHP.
1:47 p.m. – Warrant arrest: Corey Runion.
7:47 p.m. – Stranded motorist: truck broke down at Highway 160 and County Road 603. OCSD and Timber Knob VFD responded.
11:28 p.m. – Traffic stop at Hi & Dry Storage. OCSD rendered assistance.

July 21
9:09 a.m. – Reporting party says he has found an 18-month-old child in the middle of the roadway on EE Highway. OCSD rendered assistance. Parents were found and child was returned. Parents were actively searching for the child, who had wandered away.
12:05 p.m. – Well-being / security check. Reporting party says a man on the roadside on Z Highway near the gravel piles is acting like he is under the influence of something. OCSD responded. Checked OK.
