Sponsor a foster child for Christmas party

Organizers of the Wright, Douglas and Ozark County foster children’s annual Christmas party are accepting donations for this year’s event. 

Residents can sponsor a foster child in two different ways, either by providing a $50 donation that will be used to buy toys and gifts on their Christmas list or by shopping themselves to purchase the gifts. Those who would like to sponsor a child are asked to contact organizer Stacy Garrison at 417-683-8706. 

Garrison says the support will help provide each foster child with a “beautiful trail of lights” and a night of fun. Each child will receive a soft, oversized blanket, pajamas and a gift from their wish list. 

Checks can be made payable to Ava Assembly of God - Foster Care Party and mailed to P.O. Box 1240, Ava, MO 65608.
