Big Bob's fishing report: Nov. 22, 2017

Warmer than usual temperatures have made bass fishing with top water and spinnerbaits possible this time of year. The Bama rig will soon be the go-to bait as well as the jig. Bass will be found on the main lake points and in the first third of the major tributaries. Look at depths of 20 to 25 feet for best results. Walleye are being caught on spoons in the 25- to 30-foot range along main lake bluffs. Point 16 has been producing some good walleye.

With deer season over for rifle hunters, we will be open on Mondays again. The new designed Pfleuger spinning reel should be in the store in the next few weeks, and they will make excellent Christ-mas presents. The price is the same as last year. We received over 900 plastic minnows for the Bama rig that come in several proven colors. New combo rods and reels from Shakespeare and Garcia will be arriving in the next few weeks.

War Eagle baits sold out to Pradco, a large distributor that does business with only the biggest wholesalers. None of my wholesalers will carry every color spoon or spinnerbait that War Eagle makes. You might want to see what we have left and get the colors you use the most. Strike King lures have been bought by Lews, but I do not see any problem getting the baits you use.
