Big Bob's fishing report: Nov. 8, 2017

I talked to the winner of the Joe Bass tournament, and Rock Crawler crank baits were the ticket. Most of the better fish came off the main lake not far from the bank.

Spinnerbaits on windy days are working, and the Whopper Popper and buzz baits are also bringing fish to the boat.

Big bluegill are still active along main lake bluffs in 25 to 30 feet of water.

Deer season starts next weekend for rifle hunters, and we will be closed Saturday through Saturday, Nov. 11-18. We will reopen Monday, Nov. 20.

Lots of new products will be available around the middle of December. Pfleuger has redesigned the President spinning reel, and we have lots of these due in, in various sizes. Several new rods from Fenwick and Shakespeare will also be available. A new plastic minnow for white bass looks very good, and it will be available in several colors.

The minnows that everyone has been looking for to use on the Bama rig have arrived. We have the bluegill color, smoke red, blue and smoke purple. Live minnows are in stock also.
