Don Harden, 83

Graveside services for Don Harden, 83, of Gainesville, were held Aug. 28, 2020, at Lilly Ridge Cemetery with Dale Roberts officiating. Mr. Harden died Aug. 26 at Gainesville Health Care Center. 

He was born Sept. 7, 1936, in Hardenville, the son of Herbert and Sadie Harden.

He was a lifetime resident of Ozark County who will be best remembered as a hard-working, mild-mannered man who never met a stranger and never made an enemy. He worked various jobs during his life and made many friends. He spent most of his life as a farmer. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Harden is survived by his four children, Donnetta Parish, Donnie Harden and wife Cheryl, John Harden and friend Savannah Ingram, and Ron Harden and friend Gina Herd; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, George Harden; one sister, Judy Smart and husband Gene.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one great-grandchild; and two sisters.
