Joe Don Frost, 82

Graveside services for Joe Don Frost, 82, of Theodosia, were to be held Nov. 10, 2020, at Lutie Cemetery with Jimmy Kyle officiating. Mr. Frost died Nov. 5 in his home with his family by his side.

He was born March 20, 1938 in Lutie, the son of Corbin and Gladys Pierce Frost. On Dec. 3, 1956, in Gainesville, he married Opal Friend.

He was a Christian and had accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age. His life revolved around his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Frost was a man who “never knew a stranger” and always had a story to tell anyone he was around. His fun personality was contagious along with his big heart and kind soul.

He taught many about having a strong work ethic and being a good person. His love for mechanics started at an early age when he was said to have sat on a car motor in his diaper holding a wrench. He made mechanics his lifelong career along with operating his family farms. He worked at Brad Guffey Chevrolet and Nash & Sons Station for many years until his retirement.

He is survived by his three children, Teri Frost and Brad Frost, both of Theodosia, and Lisa Russell and husband Tom of Hartville; four grandchildren, Jeremy Cockrum and wife Melissa, Amanda Gilliland, Tyler Russell, and Bailee Russell; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Cockrum, Tori Broyles, Titan Cockrum and Vincent Frost; other family members and many friends who will deeply miss him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one brother, Bob Frost.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lutie Cemetery.

Arrangements by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
