John Christopher White, 58

John Christopher White, 58, of Gainesville, died Aug. 23, 2020, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. A family memorial will be held at a later date. 

He was born April 23, 1962, in San Diego, California,  the son of Barbara White of Gainesville, and Ben White of Cherokee Village, Arkansas. 

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking and spending time outdoors. 

He worked in the concrete business for many years before establishing his own concrete business, Quality Cement Finishing. 

In 1994 he married Natalie Montgomery, and they had two children, Jacob and Hannah White. Later, he married Tina Lisinski, and they had two children, Katelynn and Peyton White. 

He is survived by his wife, Tina White of Gainesville; five children, Brad White of Delavan, Wisconsin, Tawnee White of Longview, Texas, Jacob White and Hannah Torrez and husband Norlan, all of Springfield, and Katelynn White of Gainesville; his mother, Barbara White, and father, Ben White; sister Paige Saldana of Springfield; one nephew, Joshua Saldana of Springfield; his grandmother, Lois Mattix of Protem; an uncle, James Mattix of Calico Rock, Arkansas; and several cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Pickens, formerly of Protem; grandparents Jesse and Hetty White, formerly of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and two uncles, David Pickens, formerly of Protem, and Ricky Mattix, formerly of Jonesboro.
