Kindrick Lee Leschinsky, 73

Funeral services for Kindrick Lee Leschinsky, 73, of Wasola, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with Pastor Robert Roberts officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday in the funeral home. Mr. Leschinsky died Sept. 11 in Ava.

He was born Jan. 8, 1947, in Wasola, the son of Ervin H. and Ora Lee Herndon Leschinsky. He attended what is now College of the Ozarks and then continued at Washington University in St. Louis to earn his chemical engineering degree.

On Nov. 24, 1967, at the Union Grove Church in Crossroads, he married Mary Ann Swain. They moved to St. Louis in 1967 and spent 34 years there; Mr. Leschinsky retired from the Monsanto Chemical Co. (Pfizer Chemical) in St. Louis. After retiring, they moved back to Wasola, where they built their home. 

Mr. Leschinsky was a Christian and had attended the Oak Grove General Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and loved white bass fishing with Mary every spring until her death. His joy was his family.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Megan Lee Horton of Springfield and Shane Kindrick Horton of Rogersville; his sister-in-law, Sherry Leschinsky; one niece, Martina Leschinsky; a sister and brother-in-law, Sherry Johnson and husband Gary; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Swain and wife Rosemary; brother-in-law Gary Swain; and other relatives and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Michelle Lee Leschinsky Horton; his wife, Mary, who died in 2015; and a brother, Robert Clay. 

Burial will be in the Noble Cemetery in Wasola. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Shriners Hospitals for Children or other charities. Online condolences may be expressed at clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com.
