William Joseph ‘Bill’ Richardson, 70

Graveside services for William Joseph “Bill” Richardson, 70, of Pottersville, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at the Elijah Cemetery. Mr. Richardson died Oct. 31 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. 

He was born Feb. 26, 1950, in Pottersville, the son of James Cecil and Bertha Lou Collins Richardson. He graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1968, and on March 18, 1972, in St. Louis, he married Deborah Gale Burke.

Mr. Richardson enjoyed fishing, watching football and listening to music. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, including his grandchildren. He was a member of the Church of Christ. 

Survivors include his three children, Shan Marie Richardson of West Plains, Brian O’Neal Richardson, and Brett Auburn Richardson, both of Pottersville; seven grandchildren, Justin Brown, Brittany Major, Makayla Hensley, Laiken McKinney, Paydon Guernsey, Samantha Schulz and Kalie Cole; three great-grandchildren, Isaiah Velarde, Buddy Schulz and Jameson Major; four brothers, Charles Richardson and wife Phyllis of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, Doyle Richardson and wife Joan of West Plains, Jerry Richardson and wife Vickey, and Gary Richardson and wife Janet, all of Bakersfield; two sisters, Sherry Pemberton and husband Rocky of Gamaliel, Arkansas, and Terry Collins and husband Morgan of Caulfield, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, who died Jan. 1, 2008; and one brother, James Richardson.
