She worked for Aeroquip, which changed to Eaton, for over 35 years. She was strong and determined. She became a widow at a young age and had to raise her daughters alone. Mrs. Amyx had a love for life: fishing, camping and floating the river, all with friends and family. She enjoyed riding horses and helping with the Gainesville Saddle Club recently. She loved to cook and bake for friends and family, and she loved children, especially babies.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sandi Naegele and husband Rob of Gainesville, and Jennifer Amyx of West Plains; five grandchildren, Shaina Naegele, Legend Strong and husband Tristan, Wyatt McKee, Tony Moore and Patience Naegele; Lydia Duke; one brother, Martie Hambelton; one sister, Janet Johnson and husband Larry, all of Gainesville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and close friends Jan Snelling, Sid Pierce, Brent and Laurie Miller and Chrissy Carney.
